Latest from Schumacher:

This weekend Schumacher drivers Tom Cockerill and Trish Neal were invited out to Spain by carbi.net to compete in the second round of their national series at Bilbao, the track that hosted the 2009 European Championships.

The track had undergone some changes since that event, with the most noticeable being that it is now run in the reverse direction. The weekend consisted of free and controlled practice on Saturday followed by qualifying and finals on Sunday.

During practice the team tried many different setup options, and these clearly worked with Tom and Trish posting the two quickest '3 lap' times.

Qualifying was difficult due to the changing weather conditions, the track drying and a tough choice of when to change from Schumacher Silver mini-spikes to Yellows. Tom Cockerill would shine to take a dominant TQ in every round, securing himself first on the grid. Trish had some troubles and would line up 7th, hoping to improve on this in the 7 min finals.

The first final was a disaster for Tom, getting caught at the first corner and never recovering. However, Trish would take advantage and drove to an excellent 2nd place. Leg two saw rain come down and a rush for everyone to change back to wet setups. Tom would make the most of the tricky conditions to take a tone to tone victory, setting up an exciting third leg. Trish again moved up the grid to take 6th place.

The third and final leg was back in dry conditions, and would prove to be an exciting race. Some very clean and close racing would see the lead change several times, but when the tone sounded Tom came round first to take the win, and with it the meeting. Trish backed up his strong first leg to take 5th overall.

We'd like to extend a massive thanks to Joserra and Sergio from carbi.net for their help and hospitality over the weekend. It was a very enjoyable meeting and we hope to be back again soon.

This is a pair of Proton 2.2” Buggy Race Tires. The next generation of bar tire performance is here: the Pro-Line Proton! Based off of the incredibly successful V1 Suburbs design, the Proton achieves improved performance and durability on a wider range of track surfaces. Indoor 1/10 scale Off-Road racing has taken off around the world but the traction conditions can vary wildly from loose and dusty to super wheelie traction. The V1 Suburbs performs exceptionally well at tracks with pure clay and medium to high traction and the Proton eclipses its predecessor by providing more forward grip and being easier to drive. The Proton features the same low tread found in the V1 Suburbs but the tread is thicker front to back and is more spaced out for improved performance on loose and low traction indoor surfaces. The Proton made its race debut at Round 2 of JBRL at SDRC Raceway in San Diego under extreme secrecy and went on to take the TQ and Win at the hands of Pro-Line’s Cody Turner in the premier Mod Buggy class! If you want winning performance and scientifically proven next generation tire technology, then reach for the new Pro-Line Protons!
This is a pair of Trencher 2.2” 1:16 E-REVO® Tires. Leave a mark with your Mini E-REVO wherever you go with Pro-Line’s Trencher tires. The Trencher 2.2” tires are designed to give your Mini optimal traction on just about any surface. Super cool horizontal H shaped treads give your truck ridiculous amounts of forward bite. With a tall tread height, you’ll find that durability and longevity are second to none. The Trencher is the Ultimate Bashing tire! “The tires provide more stability and tons more traction on any surface, in turn they make a monster truck unstoppable. When using the tires on gravel or any other loose surface they grip enough to keep you from spinning out but still allow you to slide, to drift or do donuts. The traction that the tires provide is really the best of both worlds and seems to be made for bashing. But when they are taken out on a track they perform like a tire that’s made for racing!
I love the traxxas stuff, that's what I know and trust (and know I can always get parts for). My father in law gave me a couple turnigy troopers (4wd stadium trucks, brushless) I'm having a hard time with those as I came from all nitro. But I'm happy to be here and look forward to learning a lot!

Latest from Tekno RC:

San Diego RC Raceway has been host to the 1st annual DE/Panther Racing Series this year and it has been a huge success.

Being based in San Diego, Tekno RC showed up in force. Barry Baker finished the series with a 1st place overall in both 1/8th Buggy and Pro4. Barry's EB48 and SCT410 were flawless for the series.

But Tekno RC drivers didn't stop there. Josh Bertrand and Pres Ilog continued the series podium sweep in 1/8th Buggy, finishing 1st and 2nd overall with their EB48's.

In Pro4 the results were similar and Tekno RC would claim the entire podium again. Pres Ilog finished 2nd place and Charles Dunn finished up the series in 3rd. All podium finishes were made with the Tekno RC SCT410.

We'd like to congratulate all of our drivers on their wins and thank San Diego RC Raceway for hosting the series.

Latest from Avid:

XRAY racers can now run the signature AVID machined piston setup on the XB4 buggy. The AV1033 pistons are custom machined for XB4 shocks to tune high speed and low speed damping separately with 2 large 1.5mm (or 1.6mm) holes and 2 small 1.1mm holes (we call it the 2+2 piston). AVID's test drivers found that these pistons help provide the traction and bump handling of running lighter shock oil or larger piston holes, while still maintaining the control of running heavier oil or smaller hole piston when taking on jumps.

Starting Setup Tips:

Use 1.5+1.1 piston in XB4 Front. Start with 35 wt Associated oil (425 cSt). For XRAY oils, use 450 cSt.
Use 1.6+1.1 piston in XB4 Rear. Start with 30 wt Associated oil (350 cSt). For XRAY oils, use 350 cSt.

Piston Features:

1.	Fits XRAY XB4 shocks
2.	Machined perfectly round with a tighter fit to bore of shock body for less blow-by
3.	AV1031 pistons with 2+2 valving offer increased traction without sacrificing jump handling or driveability.
4.	Each package includes 4 pistons inside of a Doodad container printed with AVID logo.

AV1033-1.5-1.1-F	Machined 2+2 Piston, 1.5 and 1.1, XRAY	XRAY XB4	$16.00
AV1033-1.6-1.1-F	Machined 2+2 Piston, 1.6 and 1.1, XRAY	XRAY XB4	$16.00

Latest from JConcepts:

JConcepts is pleased to offer a replacement bulkhead center cap for the famous B44.2 buggy kit. The machined aluminum component, anodized in blue, is a handy replacement for the stock plastic unit and is a drop-on to the center slipper assembly. With the motor mount and bulkhead as one assembly in the B44 vehicle, temperatures peak out and transfer through the entire center assembly allowing the new cap to act with heat-sink capability.

The stout design with external ribbing has increased strength over the plastic unit, is symmetrical in design and adds a higher level of detail and aesthetic appeal to an already championship vehicle. This part has been already used in competition by Ryan Maifield, winning events such as the Cactus Classic and JConcepts Indoor National Series events.

Features:

Machined aluminum, blue anodized

Ribbed structure for increased stiffness

Laser etched JC logo for authenticity

Symmetrical design

Heat dissipation

Aesthetic jewelry

JConcepts - B44.2 aluminum bulkhead cap – blue
Part # - 2242
Retail price – $18.00
(Fits – Team Associated B44.2)
