ESC questions???
I have a Futuba MC230CR ESC that has a motor limit of 20+ turns. I am using a Tamiya RS540 Sport Tuned Motor 49/62, which I beleive is about 20 turns. What would happen if I use a motor with less than 20 turns with my ESC? Is a motor with a lower number of turns considered stock/high performance?

The lower the turn, the more powerful the motor. U could probably go about 19 turns with your ESC, but you'd have to gear the motor well. If not you'll find your ESC shutting down (thermal protection) or in the worst case, damaging the ESC.

Thanks for the reply. Does a more powerful motor necessarily mean faster? I have a tamiya f201 with a Tamiya RS540 Sport Tuned Motor and a Futuba MC230CR ESC. Will install the electronics tonight because I just got them in the mail form tower. From what i heard, the f201 is pretty fast stock.

the F201 is not very fast stock but plenty fast if you are new to the hobby. After you get used to the speed get yourself a good rebuildable stock (27T) motor, it will be faster than the kit motor and your esc will handle it no problem.
