Do I need a FOC if?

I am going to get rid of REV and install RRP metal gears in the tranny. Do I have to buy the traxxas FOC though or can I get rid of REV with the gears? I know its a newb question, but I don't know.
Thanks

If so, anyone got a good FOC for sale?

you will have to buy the foward only gear which would look something like this: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXCNA8&P=7

And the rrp: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXBJD0&P=7

I don't know what you are looking to spend, but if you want the best FOC, look at www.unlimitedengineering.com at the Super 4 (smallblock engines) or Super 6 (big blocks).

They are pricy, but very nice. Also look at www.hobbyshopnj.com to get them cheaper.

Robinson makes a forward only conversion. You need their forward only kit, as well as their forward primary gear to make it work. It's all on their site http://www.robinsonracing.com Just go to products, then under traxxas click on tranny gears. I'd give you the full link but all it does is take you to the catalog. http://www.robinsonracing.com/catalog/catalog.html

I have been to there site but I'm a little confused as to exactly what I need? Is this all I would need? or would I need to buy the traxxas FOC too?

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...9&I=LXDRH6&P=K

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=RRPC8586&P=K

Does the RRP forward only gear kit slip on the stock primary shaft or what?

I'm worried that I will buy these tough @s gears but keep on breaking little pins in the tranny?

Thanks all.

The two robinson parts should be all that you need. They might even slide over the shaft that's already in the engine. I'm not exactly sure, but I'm pretty sure that you do not need the traxxas FOC.
As far as breaking pins, the steel gears come with new pins if they even use the pins. They may just be one piece in some instances.

So you think those 2 gears will cover me? Do I need to do anything else to pull out the REVERSE? I just don't want to place an order and then need ONE more thing, ya know.
Thanks
