exhaust leaks

any advice on stopping exhaust leaks? I have a homelite w/ a tuned pipe and i recently replaced the manifold. It leak where the manifold meets the engine and where the pipe meets the manfold. gasket is new and it is plenty tight. leaks oil and might be losing slight power. anyone have any tricks to help seal this up?

I believe Shannon sc told me, and it works, to put some high temp silicone around where it leaks then put it together. Worked for me!!
