Marc Rheinard Wins Thailand TC Champs; Orion finishes 1-2-3

Latest from www.teamorion.com:

Marc Rheinard led a Team Orion 1-2-3 sweep of one of Asia’s most prestigious event, Thailand’s TITC Touring Car Championships. Marc’s teammate, Atsushi Hara, made a valiant effort but came up just short of the World Champion. Sharing the champagne on the podium was Team Orion’s UK sensation, Andy Moore.

Austrian Thomas Pumpler scored a 5th place finish placing Revolution V2 powered equipped cars in four out of the top five positions in the A-final. With their exceptional cooling ability, V2 Modified motors withstood the exceptional Thai heat. In fact, 4th place finisher Surikarn used a Peak Racing V2 based motor to achieve his result. V2 based motor powered the top 5 cars!

Powering the factory driver’s cars was the all-new GP4300 super cell. Treated with V-Max voltage enhancement, these cells provide the maximum capacity available in a NiMH cell and contributed greatly to the convincing victory.

from what I am seeing Rheindhard seemed to have picked up from Hara and is taking a good amount of the major electric touring wins.

all i know though is that Orion has put together a great lineup of drivers and their V2 motors have been proving there guts over and over! domination?

The most amazing thing about Rheinard is that he always seems to have a bit extrain the tank when he needs it. He is as fast as anyone. But he can always cut his lap times by a tenth or two when he needs to. Just when you think he can't go any faster, he does - effortlessly.

Drivers like Rheinard do not make aton of money from any one company. But when you add up the smaller amounts from each of his sponsors, it can be quite a bit.

its also another terrific way to represent your sponsor especially due to the fact that publicity/promotional/media pictures tend to be focused around the head.

those skull caps he wore should have been adorned with sponsor logos.
