anyone hungry?
the un-official..... OFFICIAL RECIPE THREAD
anyone have something they would like to share? it can be something passed down to you, or your own...but not something from pizza hut or McDonalds please.
here's mine: original idea-
Stuffed Cheese Chicken-
boneless, skinless chicken breast (1 per person, these are filling!)
can of cream of chicken soup
package of cream cheese
chicken stuffing
12 oz. package mozz. cheese
1/2 cup milk
assort. seasoning
make stuffing according to package, you can just use stove top on this.
take your chicken, and butterfly them open( cut lengthways, open like book)
soften your cream cheese, and add garlic power, italian seasoning, and a pinch of oregano. mix. Spread cream cheese on open chicken, then, place 2 heaping tablespoons of stuffing over cheese, and fold closed. place in 9x13 cake pan.take remaining stuffing, and place around chicken. Next, combine milk and soup into bowl, mixing until a nice sauce texture has formed. pour mixture over chicken and stuffing. cover loosely ( not completely blanketed) with mozz. cheese. sprinkle with paprika.
bake 35-45 min. @ 325 degrees. ( or until chicken is cooked thru)
now that i'm hungry,..lets hear yours!!!

OK Z, this is my swiss steak. It's pretty simple, so every probably knows how to do it.
Take a roung steak, swiss it, or just buy it already swissed.
Dredge it in flour and sear it nicely in grease.
Then put it in an electric skillet with a can of mushrooms, two medium onions peeled and cut in half, fill it with water, bring it to a boil, then turn it down to a simmer for about three hours.
Serve it with mashed potatoes, and corn or peas or what ever. The water, mushroom and onions make a good topping for the potatoes.
You could also and a little more flour to the water after you rmove the steak and make it more like a gravey.

i made this recipe in 2nd yr university. its my take on an italian classic
-1 package wholewheet spagetti
-1 package wholewheet rotini
-about a pound and a half of groundbeef
-500 ml or so of spagetti sauce
-pre choped, but not dry: celery, green pepper, onion
-misc spices
bring the water to a boil while in the other pot browning the beef. once the beef is browned, cooked and broken apart into edible pieces, add the sauce and mix it while the heat is still on. mix it all up reall good. now, start adding the chopped stuff. after thats mixed in, add chilli powder, seasoning salt, italian herbs, montreal steak spice until the flavor is what you want. by now the water should be boiling and add both the pastas into the same pot at the same time. if one has a longer cooking time than the other just go with the higher time. bring the heat on the meat to the lowest and let it simmer while you cook the pasta, stirong the meat occasionaly. after the pastas cooked, drain it, strain it and put it on the plate. cover it liberally with the sauce. sit down infront of the tv with a good movie and your laughing.
simple, but effective
