Revo all the way. Traxxas' support is second-to-none, plenty of parts at most local hobby shops as well as online, it handles incredibly well out of the box, and should the desire to race ever rear it's head, the Revo is most of the way there right out of the box.

If that is all you are interested in then get the Revo(personnally I prefer 8th scale). As someone that races I am very impressed with the brushless eRevo. One of the guys at the track last summer raced that thing in truggy class and won.
Mind you he is a good driver and was racing against less experianced people but it was this truck in particular that made the decision for me to build an electric truggy. I was just floored that it could keep up with anything 8th scale that was race worthy,.
I think the Revo is just as capable of bashing as it is racing. I personally would not take my racer out to bash because of the upgrades but there are alot of guys that bring these eRevos out to the track with lipos and they win. They have no tuning issues. They are as fast as the unlimited nitros. All you need to do is point it straight and pour on the power. Out of the box it seems to be driver friendly too. Nice handling and suspension. I think they come 2.4g too...

well i need to stay in a monster truck style vehicle , i race every year at the no limit world finals and they only allow trucks with the diffs under the chassis no truggys allowed , and i already have a revo 3.3 and love it as far as all around bashing and racing , its just that i have a repair thing going at my local hobby shop and have recently worked on both and am or was torn , i have a friend that made his flux into a XL chassis and it is sweet now

I"ll vote for the Flux. It is more of a monster truck than an e-revo. You are right on what you mentioned. If HPI just did the FLUX on an XL chassis than the standard one, it will be perfect!
