glow plug

hi just started this hobbie and i have a hpi rs4 and there is a problem
it is going through glow plugs very quick i can put a new one in and i can use it once i can start it and race around then it cut out or i shut it off and it wont start so i check the glow plug and its not working!!
what can it be???

Sounds like a Head or exhaust leak. Make sure you head bolts are tight and the header bolts are tight. ALSO, may sure you are running the engine FAT and not too lean. This means the engine should be putting out lots of smoke when you pull the trigger. To make the engine run FATTER turn the top end screw the the left which will allow more fuel into the carb. Bottom line, your engine is running too lean (OR HOT) and you are popping plugs.

i do have a hole in the rubber bit do you think that will be the problem??

Yes, replace it. If you look, you will see a line going from the "muffler" to the top of the fuel tank. This line pressurizes the fuel tank, if there is a leak before the muffler there won't be enough pressure in the tank and this can cause a lean condition. Everything needs to be in good shape on these motors.
