Mike's 1/10 Scale NASCAR Tribute Race on Halloween, Oct. 29

Hey all of you NASCAR fans, if you live anywhere close to Dallas, Texas (or if you are willing to fly into Dallas) then this is the perfect race for you to attend. See the flyer below...

In addition to Mike's regular on-road car races on the carpet track, we will have a NASCAR-style VTA race on a carpet oval track. All of the same rules for U.S. Vintage Trans Am racing apply to the NASCAR class in this race with exception for the bodies. We want people to put NASCAR-painted Stock Car Bodies on their VTA's.

This NASCAR Tribute Race will be fun to watch simply because of all the cool paint jobs that will be on display. Take a look at the cars that local racers are painting up...

There is one update to the NASCAR Trib. Race schedule that all of you Old-School R/C drivers will like. Due to all the people who are showing up with Bolink 2WD cars and Team Associated RC10 2WD on-road cars, Mike Darnell (owner of Mike's Hobby Shop Superstore) decided to add an "Open On-Road" Race Class for the NASCAR Tribute Race on October 29, 2011. This means you can bring ANYTHING you have from home to race on the carpet oval!

If you were not at Mike's Hobby Shop last Saturday, then you missed the funnest race in Texas in the past 12 months! We will definitely have another one, but it may be a while. We have to wait until after the 5th Annual Fall Classic and the 2012 ROAR Nationals (both happening at Mike's Hobby Shop in Nov. 2011 and Mar. 2012, respectively).
