By looking at these pictures, it looks like PTI is working on a 1:18 micro.
The knuckles are of the same design as the HPI micro (albeit 1:10 scale). The differential is undersized for a 1:10 scale. It would of been much easier for them to just use an HPI, Schumie, etc then to design their own undersized one. Its so small the dogbones need to be slanted up to attach to the wheels. All the suspension parts could be pulled in with smaller tie rods.
Add to this PTI's affinity to the micro world, most of their bodies are micro.
I figure that they couldn't justify all the R&D on a 1:18 car. So they made a 1:10 too. However if they released the 1:18 first or even at the same time people would view the 1:10 as weak. So if they can sell the 1:10 first and get good reviews, a 1:18 would sell like hotcakes.

Hi,
there's only one car currently, and as you said, it's in the french championship.
But the car will be at the European Championship, next week in Austria, with another driver (Laurent FAVRE), who is currently 7th of the french championship ...
But the car should be available in shops for the end of this year.
for further info about it (when we'll find it in shop, which price ...) please, ask your questions directly to PTI, which will built tehe car, on the site PTIracing.net
