Pics of Txtcr's super G'.

I've asked William to post pics of his new boat but it seems like he'd rather do it elsewhere. Don't mean to bust you out in a rude way, but I'm happy you've got this thing going. Very happy.

First time out was 35.4 & he had more throttle left. Naturally, you've got to get the feel of it before showering down & he did the right thing; Get used to the characteristics & then start working on setup.

As a few of you know, I sold the hull & engine back in the summer to him. It was intended to be for someone that already had the spare parts laying around & could throw it together pretty quick & at not much cost. Well our buddy here, decided to upgrade from the stock XP drive that would normally come on it & start it out as a real player! No stock exhaust, no single drive here!

We shared a lot of correspondence over a two week period before he finally dropped the check in the mail. It made me very nervous about selling to a guy that had never built a boat, but promised to help through every step of the way if he did buy. Don't want to insult him by saying such words as "newby" because his work is far from it. You really have lots of talent.

Have a look for yourself.

William, it was a pleasure doing business with you & you know how to reach me.

Hardware.

Seems like I'm not the only one that knows how to use a buffing wheel.

Last one.

Very clean engine installation. Nice how the pipe runs inside.

the pipe i believe is a BH Hanson Pipe welded to a WHH injected header, i bought it used and cheap so i cant complain. It has a nice sound to it as well. i made the first run and it did ok until i noticed there was quite a bit of water in the hull when i pulled the boat in to check on things. so i started really watching the roost i noticed that i had a dual roost coming up one parallel to the transom and another at a 45 degree angle from the transom. one was supposed to be there the other wasnt. the parallel roost is created by the surface drive unit hanging below the transom it scoops up water and shoots it right up into the hull. being mr. smart guy i chopped the bracket that holds the surface drive unit because it was hanging below the transom. now it looks like the boat will be down while i get my new surface drive and redrill the holes and mount the thing correctly.

nevermind on the down time thing. I thought it over and desided to go to walmart and see what i could find there to fix it. found a bondo marine putty stick. i sanded the surfaces and applied the putty to the gap between the two parts and sanded it flat so that its a smooth transition from the hull to the drive. no more drag or waterfall. gonna run it again next weekend. hopeing to get higher speeds this time.
