Glitching!!!...please help

Today i went to a rubber stock class at my track. The past two times i went it kept glitching. It usually glitches in the same area on the track. My electronics in my tc3 are.......hitech aggressor FM with 74mhz, novak dually, JR metal gear servo, and trinity monster stock. I had 64mhz, but then i switched to 74mhz...but that didnt solve anything.

Is it the motor......reciever, or radio?

Thanks for the help

I havent tried it before, but i've heard switching to a reciever pack/AA cells instead of the BEC fixes some glitching.

The TC3 has very limited space so the reciever and ESC are often too close together and can cause glitching. Here's some suggesions that could help:

- Capacitors, make sure your running them on the motor and that they are not broken.
- Clean up your wires. A lot of people will leave their ESC wires as long as possible because they switch it from car to car. However longer wires can lead to glitching if not managed properly. The often will get too close to the reciever or antenna wire and cause glitching. Try to keep the power wires from the ESC at least 1" in away from the reciever and antenna wire. Shortening your wires to no longer then they need to be goes a long way toward keeping things neat and out of the way.
- Do not cut your antenna wire
- Do not just wad up the extra antenna wire or wrap it around the antenna tube. Instead wrap it around an antenna wrap or around a piece of straw. When doing this do not wrap the antenna around itself.
- Try mounting the reciever on it's side as far away from the ESC as possible.
- Try moving the reciever to on top of the servo.

I've also had friends get glitching from the metal geared Hitech servos so if you have a spare standard servo you might just want to try that to see if the glitching goes away.

thanks for ur help guys.

When reading ur post InspGadgt, I did many of those things. I will try to put the reciever on the servo. Im also gonna put a new servo in there. I have one lying around(actually its in my hpi pro) and it is a futaba. Should work better. For the esc, I have all the wires short...they are short to the motor and a good length for the battery. Well, thanks for the help....if all fails, ill be back

When I encountered problems with car glitching on the same area of the track, I look at what the other racers where using for frequencies. If one or two are one channel away from mine which is usually 70 I switch to a different frequency that get me away from that. If that doesn't help I may use a taller antenna tube or try different lengths to see which helps eliminate the reception problem. When mounting receiver I use 2 pieces of servo tape to aid in cushioning it and place it so antenna is away from chassis and electrical wires.

DON'T wrap the excess reciever antenna around the tube? That could be my seriously bad glitching problem's source on my SS5800 B4.

It wasnt the servo Its the radio or reciever. Would buying, say a novak reciever help my problems?

My problem is with the crystals close to mine also, but what i dont understand is why they dont glitch but i do! Well, maybe a whole new radio or reciever will help.

Isolate the problem by swapping out electronics with somebody, including the motor. Hopefully you have friends that are willing to help you out at the track. Isolate it to one thing - then you will be positive on what item to buy to replace it.

Alright, heres the update- The motor is all good, dont need to replace that. I put the radio/reciever in my hpi pro for street use. Im gonna use a kyosho perfex controller with a futaba mini AM reciever and crystal set #4 in my tc3(the race car). I figured, no one at my track uses 27mhz band, so Ill be safe. This worked when i raced my tl-01 back in the day

Well, thanks for all ur help guys and lets hope this works out
