Starter Box and Battery help-Newbie
Hey guys, I just bought a pre assembled Dynamite Starter Box. The guy at my LHS told me that it would work off of my real car battery. Just pop the hood, hook it up, and start the rc car. He told me that it comes with everything I need to hook it up to my car battery. Unfortunatly he was wrong. It does not come with any cables to attach it to my cars 12v battery. What should I use? Is the car battery too much for it? I dont want to spend the money on another battery, or a charger for the battery. I only bash right now and I am always near my car in the middle of the parking lot when I drive.

Rez, either way, you'll have to toss a couple of bucks at it. IMO, your best option is to get a nice 12V gel cell and a charger. Look at Harbor Freight for the float charge, should run you about 8 bucks. Also, take a trip to Radio Shack, buy some 12 or 14 guage wire and solder on to the battery. Solder the battery wires to some Deans plugs, solder deans to the charger and deans to the box. Total, you're looking at about 35 bucks. It's the best bang for your buck and will last you a while.

Which one? Those are pricey. Dynamite starter boxes
Just like Piggy said, All you should need is a 12V lead acid or gel cell battery and a charger. The Float charger works the best!
It should have wires already for a battery and all you do is slide them on to the battery. I wouldn't waste the money on deans connectors myself, just the crimp ones.

Sorry about the lag in response time guys. Actually I just went out and got a 12v gel cell by hobbico. I love it.
