Converting older RC10 buggy to truck platform
Back when I was in high school in the mid to late 80's I had several of the Gold pan RC10's.Before they offered a truck version.Back then I don't remember what company offered it but someone offered a truck conversion for the RC10.Anybody out there remember who it was? Some reason I'm thinking it was ANDYS but not sure.
Also can anyone help with an older RC10 buggy I recently bought. It is the aluminum tub version,it is black not gold.It has Grey aluminum shocks.I have been out of the RC loop for sometime now and getting back into it.
Is it possible to convert the buggy to a truck with wider arms in the front and back with longer dogbones?

JG made a conversion along with Andys back then, those were the first race trucks really, the old school RC10 conversion.

Here are some pics of mine in this thread. In the thread I said it was made by pro-line (wrong) but it is the JG.

There were about 5-6 companies that made parts or kits to convert buggies and 4wd vehicles into monster trucks. Besides Andys, JG Mfg there was CRP, Advance Designs, Dahms, MRP (model racing products) and Thorp. I believe RPM sold rims, Parma, Bolink also sold some items.
