too lean ?

ok , i have a Maximum ST and it runs like it is lean but is really rich . i found out that there is NOT a lot of gas getting throught the fuel line to the engine . there are air bubbles in the line after i gas it up hard and bring it back . i changed the fuel tubing to silicone stuff and cleared the back pressure tubing , but still bubles and fuel is only half way up the line somtimes . i did just take off the carb , is it because ur supposed to seal it before u put it back on ? and should u tighten the carb screws hard ? any replies would be appreciated

Check the carbs O ring seal . If it is cut or missing you will have an air leak . Other things to check are the fuel lines at the connections for any pin holes , The exhaust ****** for blockage , The filler caps O ring for cuts , nicks etc . Check the carb screws , if one / both are loose , striped another air leak . Next check carb settings . Both high and low neddles .
