Problem between PC and Radio unit, PC Iterface RS232

Hi I just bought a Dragonfly heli and want to practice with the PC Interface before I fly it but there seems to be no communication between the 2 devices . I have checked all the basics that I can see and the only thing that happens when I turn on my radio is the mouse has trouble moving around the screen. Any help appreciated .
