The stock steering servo on mine quit after I tightened the servo saver.(instructions said that warranty won't cover that)
The stock steering saver will not tighten enough to keep the wheels straight under accelleration in high traction areas.
They put ball bearings in the ackerman rack but bushings in the steering post.
The front has cvds rear has dog bones.
The shocks look good, but need fluid change.
The diffs are junk, the first time I applied the brakes hard(it has great brakes) the ring and pinion skipped teeth.
Jumping and landing even off throttle you hear the diffs,
The brakes are adjustable , but not as easy as most buggies.
You need to change the grease out the diffs to silicone.
The stock tires are heavy, and don't hook on anything dry or loose.
(they also help put stress on the diffs)
The engine is ok, and it does have killer top end on the street.
The body is a good stance.
The wheel nuts, and axles are not anodized so the second time I took the wheels off the nut welded itself to the axle upon removale.
My ofna, and sportwerks 17mm nuts did not fit.......................
If you want to run it much at the time you need the option 290 cc tank.
The truck needs steel trans gears, which are a expensive factory option.
It also needs a center diff, another factory option.
On jumps, and rough terrian a buggy- truggy set up has , and needs a smooth underside.
This truck has a hump, which is the spur gear cover.
It has holes in it to let debris out, but on a moist or most any situation when you jump, and land and near bottom out, it will pack dirt into itself.
It also will hang you up on the tracks edges if you need to get back on the track
This truck need alot of room to turn also, it's huge, and LONG...
The truck has extra braces, but the chassis bends and stays bent way to easy.
I cart wheeled once off a table top , and bent the chassis towards the rear, at least 1/4" or more., and you can twist the chassis side to side alot to(if you grab it front and rear and twist left and right)
This wreck also rippped the rear left arm off, that tore the rear toe plate in to which is plastic(and they have aluminum option), it bent the front part of the rear hinge holder, It hurt the servo saver also.
This was in 95 degree weather, and at that temp the A arms are way taffy -flimsy.
and the servo saver arm which is also cheap plastic flexed so bad the steering would only move about a 1/8th of inch(the servo just bent the arms instead of turning the wheels) They have a aluminum factory option for that too.
The shock towers seem ok.
The output drive cups wear too fast, I didn't even get a gallon through this truck and the cups had BAD notches in them from the dog bone ends rubbing.
The price seems good now at 339.99 but you need to put all their factory options on it to have half way truck.
I have had about 20 differnt cars and trucks, buggies since last year, and this was the worst quality I have seen......

If you want a race truck that's still bashable, buy the LST. Throw some RPM a-arms and Losi aluminum diff cases on it and have some fun. Then engines have a tendancy to blow up for no good reason (Horizon has been superb about taking care of people when this happens), but other than that the truck is solid. I know the engine thing is not a small issue, but it is one that can be resolved with an engine swap, or enough patience. Not all of them blow up anyways.
Other than that, the TNX Pro is sweet...and unbeatable value. That's my next nitro truck.
IMO, the best truck on the market is the Associated MGT. It's not a flashy truck by any means, but damn it's well thought out. If I could only have one monster truck, it'd be a Monster GT without a moment's hesitation.

I'm not a racer.... never have been to a track until today....
I have a T-maxx, a jato, evader BX and had a few others but have always run on pavement....
I got this Mammoth from ebay... (I'm kinda ebay freak..) just give a bit and BANG it was mine... with only one miserable bid......
but it's already gone a friend of mine felt in love with it... and thanks GOD he took it out of my hands..... hehehe
I'm trying to finish my MAXX hop ups after the MEDIM block conversion.... and... I hope it's gonna hold itself for a while..... I may be selling my Jato.... and if I do I'll get a LST I really loved it since the first time I saw one..... lets see how things are gonna be.....
thanks guys!!

I have known of three people that have had this truck. The first two bought them brand new, and got rid of them with in a couple of weeks. The third, traded some paint ball stuff for a used one with a brand new engine in it. The first time he took it out after break in, it broke. Both front left suspension arms, and bent the chassis. All he did was try and take the triple on his track. Needless to say, he is not happy with this truck.

I own a Mammoth ST... and I wouldn't give it up for anything. I munched the stock steering servo (after installing and overtightening the aluminum servo saver, my fault). The brakes took some adjusting to get dialed-in. As for the diff bevel gear/pinon gear problems, some careful re-shimming fixed that. As with any RTR, a careful and thorough tear-down/rebuild is in order. If you get the mammoth st, there is an XTM forum that has a ton of good info and tips: http://www.globalhobby.com/public/xtm.asp
