water proofing a zig zag

so, i had a post up about getting a zig zag and it sounds like an awsome boat. The only thing is it's not water tight. since i will be driving in big waves and will go under water a lot i need to make it water tight. Any suggestions?

If you haven't gotten it yet, you might want to look at the Reef Racers as they already have lids over the compartments. For the ZZR, you can make your own covers over the openings and tape them in place with radio box tape.
