Painting My Stuff?
I have a Mac Tools Air brush and a Testos Compressor
I have a REVO. I was thinking about cleaning and painting some of my bolts just to make it look kinda neat and unique. And any other metals. Possibly the plastic to. Anyone know good paint for this kinda thing? Metal and Plastic?

as far painting the bolts, unless its gonna be a shelf queen,i wouldnt waste the effect cause i am sure the paint will flake off when u use it. they sell colored hardware if u want to spend the money. the hard palstic parts i would probally spray with krylon fusion spray paint its about 7.99 a can though,u would have to scuff the plastic a little to make it stick though,u could dress up your truck if u are gonna use it for display but if u r gonna drive it around, i would think about it b4 u put alot of time n effort into painting!
oh btw-WELCOME TO THE BOARDS!

Thx
Well its never gonna turn into a shelf queen. I just kinda wanted something to do with my spare time when I get it heh. Most of the bolts I don't see getting banged up to bad only wear I see most of them getting is from wrench going in and out to take them out, but I think that if I let it sit long enough it should hold together pretty good i would think.

if ya do, paint the bolts, i would cover the threads(once u removed them from the truck) in masking tape so u dont get paint on the treads,i would proably scuff the tops/bolt part ,up with sand paper n then spray them.good luck n if/when ya do it, please posts some pics cuz i wanna see how it turned out.
there was a issue a couple of month ago in RCCA that the guy had a nitro rustler i think n he painted the chassis n all chrome/silver but it didnt say what kind of pained he exactly used.

Rade, for metal that sees little wear, you can use nail polish to color them. However, do so gingerly, carefully, and sparingly. Sally Hansen Hard as Nails has some great colors to use and they wear extremely well. To use, thoroughly clean the metal to be colored, then clean it again. I don't recommend putting any nail polish inside the allen head socket/screw slots, in fact, I strongly recommend you don't get any polish in there. Next, don't get any of the polish on the threads of any screws. When the stuff dries, it dries very hard. It won't flake off, but will chip off from time to time. The good part is, one bottle runs about $4.50, will cover all your screws, and will handle all touch ups over time.
For coloring hard plastic such as A-arms, bulkheads, and the like, don't paint. Use Rit Dye. It's found at your local grocery stores as well as arts and crafts stores. Just follow the directions on the bottle or do a search on here to see how everyone else used it.
Hope this helps, and welcome to the boards!
