i like the elctric st but the nitro's i prolly won't mess with again...my excell hasn't had a prob except i've lost two pinons lol...guess they weren't tight enough and with my mammoth i just couldn't get what i wanted out of it...i won't say it's horibble product but to be competitve it takes a lot you know what i mean...paying $50 bucks for the center diff and all the other stuff and it's still to darn heavy...i guess the real issue is the weight,2spd setup, and breaking a-arms but honesly speaking if you're just messing around it's fine

The only person I have seen with an XTM at my track is always fixing his truck.

The only part I have broke on my Mammoth ST was a front a-arm and that was because of user error. Otherwise it was a great truck.

Absolutely. XTM simply has not worked flaws out of their designs and there is not even remotely 1/10th the parts support for XTM as there are HPI. I had a very good experience with Craig from XTM on customer support, but the first two tries were horrible before I got someone that could actually do something about helping me.
HPI used to be the worst customer support in the business, then when larger chains like Hobby Town started dropping them 2 yrs ago due to them not honoring customer support, they took a year and got themselves together to where they have been doing much better the last year or so - in turn Hobby Town picked them back up.
Between the two trucks though, XTM couldn't hold a candle stick to HPI. The old 24/7 engine was one of the best engines out there, and even it had a fatal design flaw (the one way bearing was horrid and sent many people back home from the track with a truck that wouldn't start). So with the good XTM has done, they have equally left bad in.
HPI is a solid company with a solid design that has trucks like the savage that are known as the strongest trucks in the world. They are on a whole new level than XTM at this point, and from the designs XTM is putting out it does not look like they are going to be changing that anytime soon.
