cooling fan & protecting brace

These Novak fans work great on my Losi buggy, but always got broke when you got rear-ended.

so i made this simple brace up, it works like a charm.
no more broken fans and a nice cool running motor.

just thought i would share.

i can run 20 plus minutes easily running the fan and geared high, with the motor still just warm to touch.

without the fan, and geared low, the motor gets real hot in no time.

I wish I had thought of that. What fan are you running and what batteries are you running?

this is a Novak fan, 25x25x10mm #5651, you can get them Tower or Horizon Hobby has fans also.
i run 6000mah MaxAmps 7.4 battery and a Fiego 380c 9t, with a U-Force 75 ESC.

this system is awesome, the buggy runs like it's a slot car, the power band is so smooth, the motor is light and last forever.

you can have your heavy Mamba motors.

Those fans work, but I've broken plenty of them. They are also relatively expensive. Just FYI, there's a guy on ebay that operates a "store" by the name of robobugs. His fans are tough and they move a lot of air. You should also check this out...Fans
