Losi Lightweight Outdrives for the 8IGHT & 8IGHT-T
I spotted these lightweight outdrives from Team Losi while covering the Silver State Nitro Challenge. Since they're much lighter they should improve acceleration. The outdrives should be available soon for both the 8IGHT & 8IGHT-T

I am all for sweet light-weight race vehicles, but this is the first time I've seen outdrives with HUGE holes in them!! Come on, how much difference can that possibly make? I guess only the racers will understand.

when its like that on at least 4 outdrives (not sure if they did the centers) and its all rotational mass, it makes a pretty big difference,

Haha, ya right! RC8 vs Losi 8 vs Mugen vs whatever. Its all driver dude. So far all the RC8s that I have seen had DNFs, though to be fair, the drivers do crash a fair amount. Only time I have had a DNF all year with the Losi is when I have ran out of gas sqeezing out that extra lap before pitting.
