Can i switch off the junk on the left side of my screen?
Or atleast move it to the right side?

I find it REALLY anoying..

For the time being the left side column will remain while we do some further testing.

Are the boards changing from some transparent black, back to gray? Could be head noises. . . I think it's changing back and forth though.

We are doing some work on the templates which is why you see background color changes. The next few weeks this will be occuring frequently.
It's not just in your head lol.

The black lettering on a light gray background is very soothing.

Hello Everyone, I just wanted to update you on the progress and changes that are coming. Soon we will be changing the forum Skin to the final layout. Each forum section will be running on the same color scheme to make the site perform better and be more user friendly. We may be down for 1 day so if you can't log in that is why. I will try and give a more exact date when this will occur as we get closer to uploading the software. You will also notice some more user options once this occurs.

Just a heads up for everyone!
The Buy/Sell/Trade forums for cars trucks and boats have been condensed into one section and moved to the bottom of the forums.

Added a selection to search for NEW BOAT posts in the NEW POSTS drop down menu on the nav bar.

The white lettering on black background is very harsh. At one time I was able to find a way to change the background colors. I can't find it anymore. Has it been disabled? The current color scheme is so brutal to my eyes I find it very difficult to spend more than a few seconds looking at the website. If there is a way I can make changes, please direct me to the option. Thank you.

This is the only Skin which is running now. Due to the amount of custom coding it's not viable to run multiple skins in the future.

You can also try increasing your view percentage on your browser. For some people that solves the issue.

After 6 weeks I still find it extremely hard to read comfortably. And the red lettering on the black background virtually turns to fuzz. Sigh....

Truth is whether the background is white or green or gray or black it won't always be the optimum for everyone, depending on the type of computer and quality of your monitor. Unfortunately it's just not viable to run multiple options for skins at this time.
What browser are you using to view the forums in?

I use Chrome for my browser. I have a custom built PC with two Invidia GTS250 cards in SLI mode and an AMD quad core processor. I use a 22" Envision LCD monitor.

The problem for me with enlarging the font to use RC Zone is that it remains enlarged for everything on the internet and truthfully it looks goofy.

During the test phase you guys had tried a few different color combos and I remember making a comment about one of them that was just plain superb. But then you guys ended up with the black and white. Beats me why, the others you had tried were ALL better. But that's just one mans opinion.

I understand what you are saying but no matter what we do it's not going to be the best option for everyone. At some point there may be another skin option but as of now this is what is going to be running.
