Yea, I hear that the new track is nice. I haven't been there myself, but I know several people that have and all have had good words to say about it. I'll be glad when they finally get started racing. then we can really see how nice it is.
Anyway, this post will put us back at the top of the list. Gotta be on top of a list somewhere. I'm usually at the top of somebodies S**t list anyway.
Later,
Gary

The new indoor off-road track is nice. I was there last night and it is sweet. Nice big track, lots of light, nice pit area and a special non-smoking pit area. Since they are new, the hobby shop is not fully stocked, but it is getting there. Some real nice people run the place and they are fellow racers so they know what it takes to get the job done.
Dan said the first race would be the Friday after Thanksgiving for Electric offroad. Their plan is to run the electric stuff on Friday night, gas on Saturday, and T-Maxx on Sunday. They are trying to cooporate with the other tracks in the area so everyone can get along and have a nice place to race no matter when they can get to the track. He said the track was open for practice 7 days a week and all day practice was $5.00.
Sounds and looks like a nice place to race. I for one am looking forward to racing there.
Later,
Gary

Hey all of you out of towners. People from someplace besides OKC that is!! Check out RC Raceplace. Big indoor offroad track. Nice hobby shop and the place is run by some really nice people. If you come by, tell them that the guy with two first names sent you.
Anyway, they have a nice place. They run 1/10 scale gas and 1/8 scale gas on Friday night at 7:00pm, electric on Satrurday afternoon at 3:00pm and T-Maxx on Sunday at 2:00pm.
Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Hey Guys,
I'm going to be in OKC from Dec 5th to 22nd. I have a B4 comming from Tower to me while I am there. Any off road racing going on @ Competition RC or somewhere in the city?
Just wondering cause I wasn't planning on bringing my radio or charger with me, but you never know if there is racing then I just might

Wow...
Finally came back on Radio Control Zone (it's been nearly a year I think) since I just moved to Oklahoma I wanted to see what's been going on in the RC world down here... kind of surprized to see that no one ever replied to this at all... Maybe I'll try it out again with a new post...

bringing this back from the dead. I just wanted to see who all was bashing in Oklahoma. I also wanted to know how many rock crawler fans out there. I was thinking about doing one and I wanted to see a few in person before I start investing any money.

This thread is not going to die... is it? hehe
Yes there are R/C racers in Oklahoma, but I actually used to race at a track in Lawton until they closed . Since then, OKC seems to be the closest place for me to go. To bad, you should see how many military personnel play with their R/C vehicles here.
Just to bad there is no tracks in the same city.
Driving 40-70 minutes, going through two toll booth on the way, and depending on traffic and legal speed limits I could get to Oklahoma City to race. But I have been just doing backyard bashing like everybody else.

What is the Tulsa RC scene anymore? Is Adams Creek still running and if so what are the classes.....I see their was a 1/8 scale offroad track...is that still around. I haven't raced in a very long time, but now im out of college and have some free time I would like to get back into it. Any response on the action would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jet

Adams Creek runs Oval outside. The have 2 ovals tracks outside. The off road track is in the middle of the big oval. The last time I seen anything on it was 1/10th scale electric stadium trucks. I don't know what all the classes they run but check out okrcracers.net. There is also an off-road run by TORC. There website is tulsaracing.net. They race first and third sundays.

Adam's creek runs Sat. noon till they're done (usually around midnight) dirt ovals unsure of classes. TORC runs 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. They start around 9 a.m. nice offroad track classes are determined by what all shows up if there are not enough of your class you will run with another class but be timed/tracked as your class.

I havent heard anything from TORC in awhile.
Last major event was the Spring Bash, but now the forum
is down so no communication.
I would like to go to Tulsa to race but with no updates of any type...
its too much of a trip from OKC.
We still race at Action RC in OKC first 3 weekends of the month.
