rc cars you regret getting rid of
rather you ran it into the ground, destroyed it, sold it, gave it away or just parted it out. what RC's have you owned that you wish you would have kept or still had.
i wish i still had my RC10T3. loved the way that truck drove. probably the last stadium truck ever made that bashed as well as it raced and raced as well as it bashed. that truck was unstoppable.

My original HotShot and Fox. My HPI Nitro Racer. Original Xray T1. I just re-purchased my first RC car ever, a Mauri Super Wheelie Golden Eagle. Found one NIB on eBay. Expensive, but worth it!

still have some parts to mine as well. iv got the entire working gear box (needs a diff and slipper clutch rebuild). still have the MIP CVD's that came with it. still have the shocks (need a rebuild), and i think a few other miscellaneous parts.
at one time i was going to use whats left to build a tube frame sandrail project. just never got around to it.

I regret buying the XTM X-terminator.
I only partially regret the micro rs4, but it turned me onto the xray m18, that was a great little car. If I was still on a tiny budget, that or the Associated RC18T would be my top choices.
I regret losing the Ofna Pirate 10.21, that was a wild car... It turned into a taco after a run away.
I miss my old Monster Pirate/ T-maxx hybrid I built. That was awesome, and was stolen... The theif never knew how much work went into creating that...
I don't miss my nitro stampede. Ugh, those old pro 15 nitro motors were a pain.
I had an offbrand nitro 2wd onroad of some sort.. it died when I couldn't find parts. The Duratrax street GP was ok....
Shrug. Every car is an adventure.

This would be an enormous list. All through my 20's (I'm 38 now), I bought nearly every car I wanted. I'd build it, race or run it a few times, then sell it in order to fund the next car. I usually stuck with my race rigs for a while, but I'd always upgrade to the "Factory Team", "Kinwald", "Matt Francis", "Graphite Plus", or "CR" versions when they became available. I don't regret getting rid of too many race cars, since most current cars are still similar, but superior versions. I regret getting rid of my Trinity Reflex NT back in the day, but it was one of many cars that had to be sold due to my first divorce. That was basically the end of my onroad racing stint. I had to sell my Thunder Tiger FM1e at the same time - I'd LOVE to have it back. A few years later, I bought a Tamiya F201, which is now long discontinued. Wish I'd never gotten rid of it. The Tamiya Jeep Wrangler I had long before the crawling craze - wish I still had it. The Kyosho Super Ten McLaren F1 - had a blast ripping up the neighborhood with it, looked killer... My HPI Rally - had a great time racing it, loved the look. My Micro RS4, had a love/hate relationship with this one, but most of the hate could be extinguished with a few aftermarket parts - had some of the best times racing these in a buddy's garage with 5 - 10 other local racers.
I bought a DF-03RA a few years ago, ran it a few times, tried to get a few friends to buy them, then sold it. Wish I still had that one. And a boat - my old ABC Cesa 1882. Loved that thing - looked great even sitting on the shelf. At this point, I wish I could just buy the bare hull to install a modern drive setup. I owned one of these boats from age 16, up until my early 30's. I really regret letting this one go.
Ah! The big one - I sold my Revo far too soon. I've never had so much fun racing a nitro vehicle, but sold it as soon as local racers started saying that the class was going to disappear. They were right, but I should have kept the truck as a basher - that thing was phenomenal.
I know there are plenty of others, but I feel fortunate that I've had the opportunity to own most of what I've had. Some were terrible, but most were a blast.

My Tamiya Avante. The manual said it would take approx. 10 hours or something to build it and I was so excited to run it, I finished in probably 3 hours. That car was hard to build but very fun (to build and run) I can't remember if I sold it or traded it for something. My friend who got it from me had it stolen the next week!

definitely was a good investment, still irks me that had probable $2500 into it and had to take the first offer i got before classes started, which was only $850.

I think that had the same body as the Tyco Bandit. I have a Bandit but the front suspension is broken. Was a very fun truck though, got me into RC.

My old Schumacher SSt99.
My old AE RC10T3 that was fully decked out, and all of its accessories.
I even had Hudy lathes, extra parts and commutators, and all kinds of goodies.
I sold it all, and highly regret it. I'm currently working on getting back in the hobby, starting with a bad ass touring car setup. I really miss it.

Speaking of toy grade stuff.... a co-worker gave this thing to me.
What you see is all I know. It seems like the tracks might rotate out in some gimmicky way.
All it's doing is collecting dust in my hobby room now, but it's cool enough that I keep thinking I should breath more life into it.
Plus now that I understand custom mixing on flight controllers, I could use a pistol grip radio to drive it around.
Or make up a new chasis and just keep the tracks... I've always wanted a tracked vehicle.

I regret getting out of the hobby in general. It has been so hard to afford getting back into it. Really takes the fun out of it.
