Another 'Which car do I buy' post... Nitro Touring this time. ;)

With my success with my HPI NMT Racer truck, I looked at the Racer2 for an on-road machine. Then I read the HPI forum, and there were several r/c'ers who didn't like what the Racer2 had to offer. Granted, I'm not a 'Racer' by trade, or by desire, but got me thinking was that the posts in general accused the Racer2 of being a 'bad buy' and not being worth the cash one would shell out on it.

So maybe not the Racer2 now...

What about the Kyosho V one S? Comparatively priced, considering it includes the GS15 engine. The VoneR is outta the equation, as my wallet won't allow it just yet.

So thoughts on these two machines?

The V1S has many advantages over the Racer 2. The V1S doesn't have any graphite or anything on it, but that doesn't matter, no one can see in your car on the track. The V1S is heavier, but has pivot ball suspension. The Racer 2 has no engine, the V1S does. The V1s has a tuned pipe, the Racer 2 doesn't, the V1S has tires, the Racer 2 doesn't. The 2 speed for the V1S is pretty flimsy and small where as the HPI box is tougher. The V1S doesn't have as many aluminium hop up parts, but who gives a krap.
Overall the V1S is a better buy. At my LHs the V1S is cheaper than the Racer 2!!
