Tuning Questions on a hyper .21

Hey all yet another question from a greenie.
Ive had my car for about 6 days now, and still cant seem to get it running the way i think it should run. And it could be that i just havent learned how they are supposed to run.
Here's the scoop.
It takes at least 5 minutes and almost a half tank of gas to get the car warmed up. Once warmed up, i can "goose" it (I.E. quickly open the throttle up) and it will take off like a bat out of he||. at this point the temp is somewhere between 225-250.
If i try this when the temp is say between 180-220 the car bogs down and dies. while warming the car up as i try and open it up more, it spits and sputters and then eventually "kicks in" but i have to be careful, to much and it dies.
On the flip side, when the car is warm and running good, if i just let go of the throttle back down to idle, it dies. at this point the car is typically to far away for me to hear if the pitch goes up or down just before it dies. Its very frustrating. im doing this in a parking lot, so i know if were to take it out on a track that i wouldnt even make it around once.
any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your low end may be on the rich side. This could also be causing your idle problem. I would try to lean out the low end a bit to see if there is any improvement. Your max temp seems OK. I like 220-260. Also, your idle may be set too low. The opening should be 1-1.5mm when fully closed. But if your low end is rich, your idle setting might be set OK and may mellow out when you adjust the low end mixture. Good Luck

Thanks. This is the one needle that i havent played with. Mostly because i though it was holding on the ball that the linkage connects to. But after looking at the needle function page for the engine i see it does have a purpose. Thanks again.
Ill work on it tomorrow evening and let you know what i come up with.
