Just bought an ESC for my TLO1 to replace the stock speed control. I bought the new Airtronics BL-Racer and it's a great ESC! As soon as I put it in I noticed a lot more power and much better acceleration. I even think my battery lasted about 1 minute longer than normal. My only regret is that I didn't buy an ESC sooner!
My truck is almost stock though. I have the Airtronics Avenger 2N radio, Midnight 2 motor and I have slightly modified the chasis to reduce weight and cool the motor better. My only complaint about the TLO! is that it drives as straight as a crooked arrow flies. I think someone mentioned that a digital servo will help correct this, but I can't imagine paying more fot the servo than anything else.
