Quarter scale Chris Craft
I am interested in building a 1/4 scale Chris Craft (1930's vintage)gas powered boat. Is there any resources available, or do I have to design it and make all the parts from scratch?

Check the Dumas Products website www.dumasproducts.com and I believe there's also a site dedicated to the history of CC you could look for on your browser that might be of help as well. I'll look for the CC site and will post it here if I do.
Hope this helps,

I'm also looking for plans for 1/3 - 1/4 scale 19' barrel-back.
I tried HERE a while ago but I didn't get a reply. Maybe you'll have more luck
Please let me know if you find something.

Try radiocontrolboatmodeler.com In their plans section, there is a 54" Century Sea Maid that is weedeater powered. There is a small charge for the plans + the original construction article. Hope this helps if your still interested.

1971 Super Ariston
Firstly let me state for the record I am bias toward Carlo Riva boats, and currently building a 1/4 scale replica of the full size Super Ariston. there are only three known originals in the USA one of which I have acess to in Sacramento. My plans are 1/10th original drawings for Carlo Riva blown up to 1/4. Chris Craft plans are available from I believe C/C archives they can be blown up to 1/4 or 1/3. Because of inviromental concerns I chose to use electric power, don't be afraid to use the same in your boats. My craft has an Aveox driving a 2.5" prop speed controller is 99amp batteries are 2x3700mha NMH specs for my boat overall length 63" beam 21" weighs approx 30bs has been water tested and has a scale speed of around 22mph [more if I need] my whole construction has for the most part copied full size frames were made from mahogany glued and lag bolted together. 2 layers diagonal sheeting oposite directioin for hull sides and deck. Bottom 2 skins plywood. Sides are planked 1/8th x 3/8th mahogany . Deck is 18thx 7/16th light mahogany spaced by 1/32 x 1/8th bass wood forthe center of the deck and the out side boards are dark mahogany. this area almost finished. So to the Chris Craft or other boat enthusiasts dive in the deep end and scrach build much more rewarding than a kit.
