sweet car ideal..! i LOVE the skylines, all of them! i have the 58140 R32 HKS Skyline, it was no doubt like the hardest to decal bodies in the world but...its pays off haha, all i could get so far is super low friction aluminum dampers, on road tuned spring set, and full bearings, and ellegi premounted tires and wheels and a trinity attenna plus esc ..duh, any other stuff i can get that works? im kinda low on cash so i have wait on the TA-04 super light weight universals for the rear and whatever will fit the front...btw...why are the shocks that came stock so long?! there like 3 inches long lol what adjustable upper arms will work? cause id like to add some camber to control during the corners a little.
-thanks!

what would be a fair price for???
I am thinking of selling my ta-02. Here is all the stuff included.
stock ta-02
celica body painted
celica body new in box unpainted
hpi lamborghini body
jr python radio
duratrax power pulse esc
orion rush 17T motor + stock tamiya motor
hpi tri-spoke wheels with speed hawg tires
dynamite mega 2 charger
dynamite dyna-sport 1500MaH
team orion v-maxx 2400MaH
All of this is in very good shape. What do you think would be a fair price to ask for all this in this package? I have a friend interested in this and I want to know what to ask him for it.

Consider the condition of your equipment... normally people would say it would be worth half the original cost... and depends how long youve had it... but, how well kept is it... IMHO, if i have something NEW and UNUSED... i would sell at almost full price... also depends on the rarity... you prolly could get almost 190-225 for the whole package thats just wild figure...

Tamiya TA02 FWD
I have a stock Tamiya TA02 FWD with a Novak Tempest Pro, Dirtinator motor, Aitronics servo, Trinity 1500 Series stick pack cells, Airtronics CS2P, and a Tekin 3ch. FM Reciever 20 KHz Narrow band 75MHz. My question is, the Tekin receiver was given to me so I'm trying it out. I cannot get the car to work, but when i touch the transmitter antenna or touch it to metal, the car goes full throttle. What gives? I was told that the reciever may in fact be a futaba receiver? Is that true? Are there some receivers that are not universal? (Sorry if this it not totally related to TA02, I didn't know where to post for receivers) I am new to this, so thanks for your time and bearing with me! Have a good day!

Gears
I bought my TA02 with a Celica body, Sanwa ESC, radio set AU$10 which is about US$6, It runs fine except for a few minor accidents.
My Question is what is the standard gearing on the TA02 and what spur/pinion combination should I use use to get a little bit more speed to beat my friends super hornet. I'm running a standard mabuchi RS540 and don't intend to change it for a while.
Thanks

The 01 and 02 are almost similiar but have the same plateform... the 01 usually has the red steering knuckles where the 02 has the blue knuckles... im too tired t list the other differences, and i believe the 01 had a grey style tub chassis...

LOL i posted about the prop shaft... if anyone new, the shaft is longer on the 01... i found out when i bought it, i thought it would fit my 02, turns out there are 2 types, one short, one long, and of course, they fit according to the chassis... i remember trying to make a make-shift shaft... i had to cut it short, dang thing was hard, btw, i had the hardened prop shafts... then i had to "ping ping ping ping" the end of it to flatten it out... needless to say it worked

Not sure what else you could add, i mean this one has everything availible except GPM Dogbones (has Tamiya hopups) and GPM Drive Shaft (has Tamiya Hopup). other than that it pretty much has everything, oh yeah i dont have a metal motor mount either, that will be my next purchase if i can find on on ebay when i'm ready to buy. Haha did you notice my custom fitted heat sink?

I got my first TA-02 with 3 motors, and two bodies along with a JR Racing Xr2 radio and Durtraxx Streak ESC with two sets of tires and wheel by trading a stock 99-00 Civic Si valve cover and shift knob with boot, both of which i replaced with Type R stuff. The TA-02 with all the hop-ups was a little more expensive. It came with 2 motors, two and a half complete sets of gears, 7 pinion gears, a whole mess of body parts, two sets of tires and three bodies. and a bunch of other parts which i got it all for $160 shipped. Not a bad deal considering it has over 300 in hop ups alone hehe.

Does anyone race TA02-FF front FWD..?
I was just going through my old cars when i came across mu old Front wheel tamiya TAO2-FF. I used to race this years ago. I wanted to clean it up & prep it just to see how it would do against todays 4WD. Just for fun.
One problem i had. When i put a 14 Turn double with 2000 Nicd pack & nailed the throttle. I would hear a bad grinding noise. I think its the spur gear . But when i checked the spur gear it seems o.k.
Is anyone still running these cars....?

TA02 FWD
I have a TA02 FWD, the one from 1993 I think and my speed control all of a sudden doesn't turn on after trying to run it for a second time. I don't know what's wrong with it. It was a Novak Tempest Pro esc. I had an Aitronics Caliber 3PS transmitter with the factory receiver, Trinity Dirtinator 10T motor, Deans Ultra Plugs, and a Trinity S-series 1500 mAh pack. Did the Tempest give its last goodbye? hehe

Take all the gears out and check really close inbetween the teeth you might have little specs of dirt, rocks take a knife and clean inbetween the teeth and put it back together and relube everything. As for the speed control check all your connections make sure nothing is loose or disconnected make sure your battery packs are good. if that dont help call novak and see what they suggest
