I was running my engine for the first tank ever. It ran like it should but when i stoped it I couldn't start it agian. I let it cool with the piston at the bottom. The glow plug and igniter is fine to.
Any suggetions would be great.

well sometimes nitro engines can be a bit twitchey. and sometimes it just takes a few pulls to start it up, and then you are off rip-roaring again. every time you start your motor you should re-tune it so that it's running as cool, and as "white-smoke" as it should for hot/cold days. is the pullstart hard to pull (not loose like when you first started it?) I had the same problem with my xxxnt, and I found that the glowplug was making the compression too high, The piston would go up and down fine without the glowplug, but once installed that sucker was very hard to pull, so I put a spacer washer on the glowplug, and it works like a dream now. also check and make sure there are no kinks, or clogs in the fuel/air filters, and that your engine is nice and primed, you may even just want to swap the glowplug and see if that is'nt the problem. (sometimes when glowplugs get fuel all over them the oil coats the inside, and the sucker just does'nt want to ignite the nitro).

I'm not sure this is the best way to start an engine, but it's what has worked for me.

I usually prime the engine quite a bit, actually flood the thing. Then I pull the glow plug out and tip the engine over and pull it over while it's upsided down. I usually do this until it stops spitting gas/oil out. I do this to flush out the after run oil.

I then turn it back over and reinstall the glowplug. And away I go. 2 pulls max.

I've seen guys leave the glow plug slightly loose to start it, and then once it's running they tighten it up.

It seems that when ever I let off the stinger and try to start it the fuel suckes back into the tank.

you may have an air leak some where if thats the case. The most common place is the tank. Put the tank in some kind of bucket under water. Blow through one fuel line and plug the other. If you see any bubbles at all then your tank is leaking somewhere......
