What track conditions would you say the tires work their best, and what have you used on them?

.06 to .04 module gearing
Hey guys... i been tinkering all week converting my tb02 gearing with the .04 module... i used the tb03 gears i got from my surikarn... its still in the works but im almost close to finding the right pinions to use... so far i have narrowed down to 24-30 range pinions... although i need the 24t to be sure... i lost mine somewhere in my room and im diggin around for it i tried using the 32t pinion but its still too big... i got the 30t coming in but still waiting... so i still need to prove it works... but i am almost certain the 24t will be the starting point... crap i wanna race this tb02 with the change this saturday... i got a epic binary pro with a p2k2 armature in it along with novak's new xrs esc...
btw, my tb02 is 90% tuned type r... just need the reinforced diff and maybe a front one-way... but everything else is tuned...

On saturdays race i decided to bring my tb02... i gave it a spin... it handles nice... with the new gearing i had... im running the .04 module gears in it... the car seems a bit sluggish... its fast but not fast for my needs... during the break i was practicing on the track... my friend noticed i was doin pretty good... 'cept that i didnt feel the speed in the tb02... it could be that the pinion i have is too big yet... might wanna try a 27 or 26 instead... or put a tamiya super stock 23 in it... right now it has epic binary pro can w/p2k2 pro armature... maybe i should to the normal p2k2 pro motor and try that...

I run my TB-02 with the stock gearing that came in the kit. Not actually sure what that pinion is. I will have to check and see. The stock gearing that came in the kit was fast on our local track. I run the Trinity Monster stock motor. Those need to be gearing a little lower than some other stock motors because they have less torque than some motors but have more RPM.

If it's the 0.4 stuff it should be 34 teeth. If it's the 0.6, it would be 19 teeth.

That depends how fast you want to go... a decent esc like the Novak Explorer II is nice, 15t limit with good punch... to lighten it... well, not much too lighten... most parts like carbon shock towers or the evo3 conversion will lighten it... this will replace the front and rear shock towers and lower deck with carbon... i have not seen the upper deck sold... i dunno why... a number of aluminum parts are available too, motor mount, steering wipers... you could also replace the stock screws with ti screws... putting lightweight universals in the rear... there are a number of aftermarket parts too... if you want you can look back a few pages... i have a brief description of my decked out tb02...

Thats ok... there are a number of places... Tower Hobbies is the best IMHO... www.towerhobbies.com do a search: tamiya tb02, and a list of stuff will show up... if you do ebay you can find plenty... my favorite place to shop is walawala_com on ebay... he's the best... by far best on shipping rates and stocks a butt load of tamiya parts...
