Of course you could get spares for the suspension parts. You just buy the TB Evolution IV Suspension parts. For example, if you want the suspension arms, it's TB Evolution IV D Parts (Suspension Arms) Also, the TB-02R comes with aluminum hex hub. I don't think there will be a TB-02 TRF. If there's one, it will be the same as a EVO 3 with the lightweight suspension.

TRF, I was referring to the bell-cranks. The stock plastic ones doesn't seem too bad. My TA04R still has the plastic ones but I"ll be buying aluminium as soon as they break.
The TB-02R already has aluminium hex hubs! Sweet! What else are the pictures and description hiding from us?

Saw the vid, but you need more room to actually hold a solid drift, your school hallway isnt an ideal place... and you need corners to attack

What is the smallest pinion gear and the largest pinion gear compatitble with the TB-02. Also, how long is the swing shaft of the TB-02R of the TB-02 LW Revesible Suspension set?

The swingshaft in the TB-02 R kit is 43mm long. If you run a lot of rear toe you'll need the 46mm ones. I run 2.0 degrees rear toe and I think that's about all you could do on the 43 mm shafts. That said, 2.0 degrees seems enough so far.
As for pinions, the R has different spur gears supplied to the normal TB-02.
Standard TB-02 has 55, 58 and 61 spurs and uses pinions between 16 and 25.
The R has 52, 55, and 58T spurs and uses pinions from 19 to 25.

I was on the Tamiya site and they say it is 42mm. Does it say 42 on the swing shaft?
For the spur gears, can you use 61 on the TB-02R?
TRF Drive Hard: I believe 46mm Swing Shaft is only for Evo4/MS and TRF 415/MS

I could be mistaken cause when i got the LW set the 415 went from 42mm to 46mm... one the evo4 ya its 46mm... but the tb02 is 42mm also hense goin from 42 to 46 like the 415... but like i said i could be mistaken...

Do you know why it's shorter for the TB-02R?

Sorry, must get my eyes tested! They're 42mm on the R. Not sure if the 61T spur will fit but I would like to know as well, can't see why it wouldn't.

I think i know, when i slapped my LW on them it was 46mm... but since tamiya made a 04/tb02 LW set, it was made for 42mm

any input on this would be appreciated:
im running a Novak Fusion ESC, and a trinity speedgems pro 15T double wind, with a 21T pinion 58T spur combo; my motor is running very hot for some reason, either its geared to high, or maybe its just getting old. its also behaving odly, and ill lose throttle response altogether, i can still steer and the ESC is still on, however ill have to push the car a little, and then the motor will work again. its possible my comm may be messed up or dirty, but im not sure, im going to open it up later tonight. thnx for anyone that gives their 2cents...
if it turns out i need a new motor, what do you guys suggest. ive only been runnin trinity speedgems thusfar, and im looking to move to another company.

I'm a big fan of Reedy motors. It depends on what you want to run, turn wise, but Reedy is quality. I have a 15x2 Flash Point that screams. For stock stuff, I have had Epic 27T Monters of Stock Pro (green can) motors and they are awesome!

well i tore the motor apart last night, got lots of unwanted dirt+particles out of it, checked all the connections in my car, and ran a pack today after school. it ran flawlessly and not as hot as yesterday. maybe i was to heavy on the throttle yesterday, or maybe something else was going on. who knows. everything appears fine right now, and thats all that matters...

I have experimented doin that... its really hard to find the right mesh/pinion size too... you either go 3t down to use a 52t spur or 3t up for a 64t spur... but in mine i used evo3 spur gears and i was close to finding the proper mesh... if i recall i needed a 30t pinion using the 96 spur... i even slapped a 102 spur in it lol

Ya it is 64 pitch metric... but you will have a difficult time finding the right mesh with the right pinion... that motor mount aint adjustable...

forget it then; my LHS doesnt carry metric gears at all, and i dont feel like playing guess and check while waiting for gear orders from tower to come in. thanx for the information though.

Someone correct me if I"m wrong, but I thought "64pitch" is imperial and "0.4 modular" is metric. But they are close enough you can interchange them! Ie, a 64pitch pinion will mesh with a 120t 0.4modular spur.
In the same sense, theres 48pitch(imperial) and 0.6 modular(metric). But some people just thought 48pitch is imperial and 64pitch is metric; they really are just different pitches; big teeth and little teeth, some call it at the track.
