The handling of this car should be way better than the TT-01 and the car should be smoother. I am saving up for a TB-02R now.

Help with Hop-Up addition (Surikarn Front Damper Stay and Surikarn Rear Damper Stay)
I recently purchased a TB-02 kit and bought a Surikarn Front Damper Stay and a Surikarn Rear Damper Stay, both carbon hop-ups for this TB-02 kit. My question is how to attach them. The stock TB-02 parts (screws and the 5mm ball connectors) do not screw into the damper stays. The damper stays are not threaded (carbon cannot be threaded...I think) So, is there a bolt/screw/ball connector kit that I need in order to affix these hop-ups to my TB-02?
Thanks,
-Aaron

You need a round head scerw, ball nut and some spacers to attach it. I don't know what size of screw to use but I believe is 3X14mm. The spacer size should be 2.5mm thick.

hey guys,
anyone know what parts I'll need to get a one-way for the TB02?
The faster guy during TCS was running a front one-way on his TB02.
is it just this?

There are 4 seperate parts needed for the one-way, they are all listed as TB Evo III parts.
Part 50991 Evo III one-way unit
Part 50970 Evo III one-way diff gear
Part 53590 Evo III reinforced one-way cup joints
Part 53626 Carbon back plate for Evo III one-way
hope this helps!

well, it's something I want to try out anyways. I did try it in a TA04 and thought that it suited my driving style pretty okay?
but wow... that's a lot more parts than I thought.

Welcome to the club, man, that's why I peeked in here a week & a half ago(I won GT-2 class at the Memphis TCS race).... Now, I'm thinking I'll go ahead & build mine, but there are still a few things I wanna change, is there a way to use a regular spur on one(like from Kimborough or Ronbinson)? I'm kinda partial to running 64 pitch gears....

Looks like I'll be purchasing a TB-02 pretty shortly too, the TT-01 chassis really wasn't the on-road counterpart to the DF-02 I thought it would be. I was a bit weary about parts support for the TB-02 at first, but it seems most people here aren't having issues with that. Is there anything in general that should be hopped up out of the box?
Grizzbob: It may not be what you're looking for, but Robinson Racing makes metric pinions that I imagine should work fine on the TB-02. They work well on a DF-02 and TT-01 anyway. Do a search for "metric pinion" on Tower Hobbies' website and you should find them.
Have fun!

Grizzbob: do you win a car when you win a race? I only won TB-02 in the lucky draw.

Yup, anyone that wins their class also wins a car kit in a TCS regional event(in addition to those pretty cool looking medals), & for the main classes, those that win those classes at the TCS Nationals also win a trip to Japan for the TCS World Championships.....

*shrug* I've been watching this thread since I got the TT-01. I wasn't sure if I was going to like on-road RC, to be honest I'm still not quite sure based on my experience with the TT-01. I want to give on-road a fair shake though, since it's best represented by the majority of the tracks around here. Hopefully the TB-02 makes a good impression.
Have fun!

Life is that good south of the border??? Win a regional and you get a free car? Wow! No, not implying it's an easy task, but pretty rewarding considering what you get for winning anything anywhere else! Up here in Canada, we don't have Regional TCS. Just 8-9 TCS qualifying races for the finals, then the final. In some of them, they even got cheap and started giving out framed certificates instead of trophies! They do have draws for cars and various prizes at every race, but I've never gotten that lucky.
dugrant153, I think you also want to put in a lightweight prop shaft (different length than standard) with the oneway upgrades so you don't strip diff gears like mad.
