oh, I didn't make it :P I placed 9th out of 12 in GT2 class. My TT01 was simply not up to spec at the time, and I was competing against the likes of some guys who made it into the TCS Canadian Finals qualified list :P
No first timer's luck that time.

Grizzbob, you guys are lucky. What other things to they give away other than the TB-02?
This is my first time ever to win a car. Before that, I only won some stickers and body clips (I have a million of those) in the lucky draw.

Well dugrant, maybe you will qualify next year. I just qualified for the TG10 class with my TG10-Mk.2. It was my first time racing that car. Check the TG10-Mk.2 in the nitro on-raod for some pictures of my car.

Wow, you are very lucky. The results of your first race is pretty good. When I first start racing with my TT-01, I came in last place everytime.
BTW, have you start building your TB-02 and what body did it come with?

Well, like I said, the winner of each class won a kit, there were 2 or 3 TB02's(including the one I won), I think a couple of TA04's(but not the R version, I believe) & a Mini(M-04 long chassis). plus, they also gave away an 1/18 scale monster truck(I think that's the TLT-1) to a spectator & a bunch of little things to all the racers in drawings(& I also got a pair of red anodized 32mm turnbuckles in that).....

Grizzbob wasn't lucky. He took the car home by skills! Wasn't a draw prize, it was given to him for winning the class!
TRF TT-01, Don't mean to sound rude but... OFCOURSE I QUALIFED!

hey, is anyone getting clicking from the rear of the car?
cuz I sure am... everything seems okay.differential doesn't click when spin it. But when I run the motor (pinion and spur attached), sometimes I hear this "click".
straight or turning.

I think you should clean out the gearbox and see if it still happens. Did you build the ball diff correctly?

Usually clicks come from a few things. Bad gears (dinged or dented teeth or one with something stuck in it) of the spur/pinion, those bevel gears in the diff and prop shaft, bad meshing also causes noise (remesh pinion/spur, or properly shim the diff in case of shaft drive cars). Bad bearings also can cause clicking, so will loose/worn universal joints.

but I will definitely check that stuff... hmm... maybe a rock did get in...
How do you realign the mesh between the differential and the driveshaft?

You put a car on the ground and it's not "new" anymore. Bearings can go bad with 1 hit in the wrong direction and it don't even have to be a hard hit. If you didn't get hit at all, bearings can still go bad if small specs of sand got into them! Gears can get messed up with wrong meshing or just one grain of sand in the wrong way! Are you feeling lucky?
You use thin shims on the outdrives before you slip on the bearings.

I put extra O-rings on the diff cups (the outdrives that hold the dog bone) cuz there was a lot of dogbone movement. still didn't solve the problem much.. hmm...

Hey dugrant, I have the same problem as you. I just ran my car for the first time today and when I hit the brake, I hear clicking sound.

Don't be nervous when you race. This is very important. Just drive like you are practicing. At the start of the race, let people go ahead first to avoid first corner crash (This is very common, this way, you will be faster than other people.) Your setup for your car is very important. If you need help, ask some experienced people to help you out. When other cars are going way faster than you, let them go. This will reduce the chance of damaging your car.
Just go out and have fun! Don't be nervous, but be happy!! Good Luck!

yes, setup is most important. take a lot of time to get a good setup.
I had a crappy setup with my TT01, so my car was hooking like crazy. use the same tires you'll use to race to make a good setup.
And as TRF TT-01 sad, relax. That'll help you get through all the other guys who crash in the first turn. Slow and steady wins the race. Fast and erratic will cause you to spin out and jump corner dots... not a good thing in GT2

hey TRF TT-01. I think that the "clicking" sound is just my motor winding up. It's a different motor, so maybe it makes a different sound?
I was checking the dogbones on my car and I think one of mine is already bent! Anyone know where to get replacements?? (maybe that's where my clicking comes from)

It might the ABS braking that made the noise from my car. No gears strip so I will just leave the way it is now.
You get replacement from your local store or www.towerhobbies.com
