For AA size batteries I use .50 to 1.00 amp charge rates with the detect set between .01 to .03 mv with 1/2 size and smaller the amp rate is .05 to .50. It will take longer for higher capacity batteries to charge to ensure they are you can check the voltage with a DVM. Voltage is normally 5.80 to 6.40 volts, higher than the actual rated cell voltage.

If cells are in good condition and getting discharged to a good low voltage before recharging it will have an effect on the MH capacity when it reaches peak charge. Sub C cells generally charge higher than their rated capacity while AA charge a little below. The reason you are only getting 665MH of charge capacity is probably due to: 1. cells not discharged (still have more than 3/4 charge left in them) 2. cells going bad or charging at different voltage levels - causing charger to false peak(some cells may be reaching their peak voltage while others haven't). If these are AA size batteries use one lightbulb and a adapter to fit the plug on pack and discharge it - remove bulb as soon as it begins to dim. Allow pack to cool (2.5 hours) and try charging at .50 amps with .01mv cutoff.

I bet it is for high and low beams (or for the brakes)

It looks like from the picture that they used both.

I bought the blub but havent solder the leads yet. I am just wondering the bulbs are 12volt. Just wondering if that matters since the pack is at 6v??

6 volts will still light the bulb and discharge the pack just not as high of an amp draw compared to 12v.
