I guess I'll have to wait a bit before sending any running pics "taken today". The reason being that today, I threw a rock accross the local pond. It skipped several times then slid over the ice before finally stopping. Not so much as an inch of open water anywhere .

Scorp, you've gotten cocky since you moved to Florida! Your old stompin' grounds is right now getting deluged with snow as I'm typing this. Remember Winter Storm Warnings? Yeah, we're gonna frost our tails off this weekend. It's supposed to get down to 10 degrees and 7-10 inches of snow.

Hey Scorp!! When are you going to bring that bad boy to Sarasota???? I'm heading to the lake in a hour or so. Yesterday was nice, after the fog cleared 72 degrees & sunny. Today there calling for 5mph wind 65 & sunny. BUT YIKES > 32 degrees Tuesday morning!! Sorry guys up in the great north, but thats cold for us in S. Florida. The only funny thing is that 32 degrees in the morning, but will be 65 by noon. ( big swing )
Its crazy- goes from " COLDER THAN A SNOW MANS BUTT " to beach weather.

My local pond is perfectly flat...

inch thick ice. I really hate you people in florida for being able to run year round. At least I get to go skiing tomorrow.

So how'd it go?

Weather here is so-so. Cold but not frozen over as of yet. We've started the holdiday schedule for the next two weeks & might get the Bandit cat out & finish breaking in the engine if things hold up.

well didn't go so well for me today...

after some interferance problems i tried to start my boat and had it on choke, it ripped the engine right out of the mounts... (not my craftmanship) it was from the guy befor me... so then it broke the epoxy that held in the tube for the flex cable...

my hot shot sprint ran good though...

anyway i took everything out of the 50" and filled all the holes in with epoxy (which is setting right now), so im gonna start over. maby with a nice zenoah for x-mas , that homelite is way to big and i discovered that it is starting to dig into the hull. Plus I cant think of a way to turn it off when its running exept for getting a 3 channel radio wich would cost almost as much as a new engine anyway

You all could be up in the Seattle area. We have open water to run boats on(though it is a little on the cool side), Snow in the Cascade Mountain Ski areas, Golf courses open to play on, and the Christmas Season in full swing. Oh yeah, and the Hydroplane Museum to visit and bumper to bumper traffic through Seattle. Guess I can't have it all, I still got traffic to deal with getting to the museum.
