Wake up call!!
Tamiya Stryker! Thought that thing was hot! Several more Tamiya's- ohh the Boomerang! Kyosho Ultima and Turbo Optima... The TRC Pro10 for flat tracking... The RC10 topped my list and still hauls the mail. I got out right as the RC10T and the new Stealth transmission came out. Still got most of them.

first rc car
my first rc car was a heathkit spectre with a k&b 19 greenhead motor and guided(?) with a heathkit 5 channel radio system that came in kit form and need to be assembled and soldered. never had the first problem with the radio except for stripped teeth in the gears.
first race was the 1970(?) nationals in indianapolis on the citizenship radio control factory parking lot.
i went with a friend who worked at citizenship and as we stripped the gears out of the servos he would go inside and replace/rebuild the gear train since citizenship and heath servos used the same gears. i can't remember how many i killed but it was a lot.
great memories

First Car was in 87, a Cosmo I believe it was called. My neighbor had a Fox and his sister had a Grassshopper. My dad then went on to race every model of RC10. Funny it seems I lived in hotbed of RC Racing in Carlsbad, CA. My first adult car back was a Losi XXX, and now getting back in trying to decide between 22 or B4.2

I had a red Audi Quattro on-road RC car when I was around 7 or 8 years old. As of 3/27/13, I am now 36 years old
