Firefox back in '78 or '79. Then I think the next one was a Mountain Man with selectable 2wd and 4wd. Graduated from there to the Sears Lobo and Super Lobo before finally buying a used RC10 with the old gold chassis. Recently bought an RC10GT and love it.

My very first car was a TC3. I got it for christmas last year. So far, i have my TC3 which i try and race whenever possible, and i have followed it up with a Kyosho EP Blizzard (they are slow but can climb over anything!) and then i got more into off-road and saved up for an AE T3 which i also race, and just this summer i finally decided to bite the bullet and buy my first nitro... a traxxas T-maxx which i drive almost everyday!

My first R/C which I got a year ago and still have today is a Electric Rustler which has $300 in hop ups pumpded into it. my Dad was into R/C's ten years ago and it took me until now to realize I was missing the BEST hobby ever and I swear i'll never give this sport up.

My first hobby-class car was a grasshopper, a friend of mine was moving away to go to college, and he sold it to me for $50. It also came with lots of tools, probably worth more than the car was.

The first car that I ever raced was a Radioshack Surger, back when the local Hobbytown was holding races in the parking lot. Unfortunately, the stick broke off the radio, and the front wheel got bent. I tried to fix it, but it broke off. I wound up finishing the last main on three wheels.

So from there, I found some Christmas money that hadn't been spent, bought a RTR TC3, and transplanted the batteries from the RSS to the TC3 radio.

Still have the Surger (sans body and most bulk weight) if anyone wants to race. ^_^

Here I Go Again

Hey, I know I said my first was a Royal Ripper, but I was just checkng eBay and someone was selling old cars for parts. Well, one of 'em was a Radio Shack "Off Road Champ." My old bro's first car. He hated it, gave it to me, and I hated it. But because I liked RC, it got me started looking for better cars and I ended up buying the Ripper out of an RCCA ad I saw. So, the Ripper was really my first, but that Radio Shack car started it all. I even got the pic. Man was it ugly. Plastic molded shocks...nope. Just carved plastic. Eesh.

First was a Tamiya Hotshot, my oldest that I still have is a Midnight Pumpkin (probably have 1400 hours of operation, and COMPLETELY STOCK except for tires). Both of my sons have learned to drive r/c with this truck, and it is BUTT UGLY; but I love it.
