Adracing, do you thin your Spaz painted before painting? The reason why I ask is because I just tried spraying Spaz Black and it started flowing nice and easily, but then it seemed to develop "dry tip" rather quickly. I didn't spray for more than 10 seconds when this occurs; I was doing drop shadows so i was using a slower flower through the brush. What psi are you using and what airbrush? I'm currently using an Eclipse Hb-cs with the standard needle and nozzle.

That's going to happen no matter what airbrush, PSI or paint you use. Just keep some thinner near by and dip the tip for a few sec, do a quick test spray and move on. If your using your double action, make sure you cut off the flow of paint before you cut off the air. This will help with dry tip too.

Okay I have a questions about this spaz stix stuff. Is this water based or not? All I have used so far is Faskolor/Createx. I like this since it is water based and has a real easy clean up. Does it look that much better then flaskolor?

Thanks
Jake

Depending on the color but I back all of it with flaskolor. I like to finish the job by backing the whole thing with either white or black to give it a finished look, then faskoat for protection.

First off, Faskolor is second to spaz stix regarding color. Faskolor looks nice and metalic-ish, but spaz stix is rich and deep. Spaz stix when sprayed correctly looks like fresh-new-car paint.

As far as cleaning, Spaz Stix is easier!! With faskolor you have to rinse out the brush, rinse the kneedle, and finally rinse out the nozzle. If you let your airbrush sit to long then the paint dries hard and you have to scrub the paint out or off. With Spaz stix cleaning takes 5-10seconds tops. Just get some acetone (nail polish), and put a few drops into the cup or airbrush and spray it out. That's it your done. If you can spray the acetone into a cup and you can reuse the acetone to rerinse if needed.

When backing my paint jobs I have always found that spray cans eat through paint jobs. I generally stay away from them but if I have to use a spray can I have a blow dryer handy so that way i can dry the spray can stuff before it eats up the paint

Here's a vid I made to show the spaz stix paint "change" in the light. Would be easier to see if it wasn't an rc18t but oh well. ****** = rc pics
