Well there's your problem. **points at truck**

I have no idea if you are tuning it properly. Glow plug, slipper clutch, clutch shoes, dirty air intake, something wrong with the exhaust pipe.

i dunno Ryan,...wish i could tell ya more, but that might not be too far off. My LHS has the warhead evo in, 4.4 , claims it will smoke the 3.3 t-maxx, $400 out-the-door,...but i cant imagine its 15 mph faster than the original warhead....

That is where I would run it. When you replaced the clutch bearings what did the shoes look like? Did you adjust the shift point on the trans? If so did it help any?

I have the Warhead it's been nothing but problems, broke the front shock mount, body posts, brake assembly broke off the Trans case, I’m on the second pull starter, the idle set screw pops out when you hit the brakes even with adj. the servo and linkage. The worst part is the engine is slow I have many nitro cars and trucks but man- my grandmother can walk faster than this thing lol. So I replace everything made my own custom fix for the linkage and droped in a HPI 4.6. If you blink you missed her she is fast. I just have to put the updated spur and clutch kit on and I should be good. At first I hated the Warhead but now I love it. Strange!

Even with an OS 30, it's still a warhead. I still say you did the right thing getting rid of it. lol.

I've worked on several of them. They're just terrible all around.
A review can't be bad because the truck is usually donated by a manufacturer. Therefore, if you give it a bad review, they stop sending free stuff.
I want to start a magazine that tells the truth. Maybe even just an online magazine, but something that won't say a car is wonderful when it's the 3rd biggest pile in the universe.
