I have a NTC3 with a Futaba 2PL FM radio and duratrax failsafe this setup is replacing a crappy HPI 27 Mhz AM radio from an old RS4 RTR ( a buddy just had a bad runaway accident)


Anyway I put the failsafe on the throttle server channel as directed and it engages sporadically at approx 100' distance could it be over sensitive or am I having horrible glitching.

Radio has 8 brand new duracells and the reciever has a relatively new 6v 1500 Mah flat pack.

If your failsafe is engaging when you reach a certain distance I would check your reciever. that could also happen if you cut your reciever antenna. some people dont realize that the reciever antenna is long for a reason and they cut a little off, but this could really effect your reception between your radio and your reciever. Another possibility is that by some chance the factory setting in your failsafe isn't right, but thats not very likely. I had a problem like this once when i was driving my car in the parking lot of a commercial bussiness. what happened was, every time i drove close to the building my failsafe engaged. See the problem is that alot of commercial buildings now are being built with metal studs in the wall, as apposed to wood. this caused a lot of interferance and caused my radio to loose contact with my reciever for a second.

charge ur battereies its most likely the issue, and many people tend to forget about the TX batteries so do both the TX and RX batteries, but check ur antenna as Ed mick said.

It's brand new Futaba R153F FM reciever I did not cut the antenna (I've been in RC on and off for 20 yrs I know not to do that)

I was in the parking lot at work and the building is relatively new so that might be it

What about the little screw on your fail-safe. Have you try to adjust that?

If your using a micro fail safe there is no little screw to adjust. its all factory set.

your right no little screw I we through the setup again just to see and will do some more testing.
