The stocker motor break-in instructions are waaaaay off. PLEASE don't follow the instructions that are printed in the manual and on the DVD, because they will cause your engine to crap-out and have a very short life.

As for the durability for the rest of it, it's next to bomb-proof. My dad broke his first part today landing a jump, but he's driven it for 3 solid months, and he's done almost everything imaginable to it.

One more thing to look into is the glow starter sucks down batteries, so you will probably want a rechargable one farily quick. Other than those 2 problem, it's an awesome truck!!

Here's the PROPER instructions to breaking-in the truck:

2. Then richen the setting by 1/8 turn until the truck will just barely runs
3. Finish the first tank this way at slow to medium running
4. Check temp every few minutes to make sure there is no over heating
5. Turn the needle in 1/12 turns at a time for runs 2-6, again checking temps
6. Final needle setting should be between 2 - 2 1/2 turns

My pleasure. I might also suggest making a bigger hole in the windshield to make sure that you get all of the air possible to the cooling heads, because that might have hampered my dad's engine life, but everything else is tidy. Have fun!!!!!

Yeah, that sounds like a steal. Those things will rip when properly tuned and tweaked to the track conditions!! It smokes my Evader ST Pro on the straights, but I can play catch-up in the corners because I weigh a pound less.

I bought one when they first came out..It broke 3 times just bashing around the yard..It was fast as hell but what good is that If its broke..Tower was nice enough to let me exchange it for a RC10GT and thats the best thing I could have done...This GT is a TANK!..I've had it for over a year and a half now and haven't broken anything.

Yeah, but that was one of the first Evaders, and my dad has done everything except fire a rocket-proppelled grenade at it, and it's been taking all the hits with strides. I often see people who break theres by jacking the collars on the shocks all the way down and expect the shock tower to take the licks. Truth be told, all cars will break if you do that to them. And it depends on how you bash. If you try to see how high and far it will go before breaking, you're better off buying a tyco RC car than a RC-grade car.

The Nitro Evader ST weighs in at about 4.3 pounds, and the ST Pro is about 3.1-2.9 pounds. Yeah, the Nitro ST is pretty light-weight for a nitro car. But it still handles pretty good if you have a steady trigger-finger and skill.

Sweet!!! No all i usually do is make a couple dirt mounds and get like 4 or 5 feet, and just show off and go on speed rampages. Sounds great!!

Cowboy: I would have got a RC10GT2, but i didnt have the cash D:

BTW: Do they have a Pro kit for it??

If they changed the setup on them then your fine...I guess the first ones were made of "glass" it was my first nitro RC and all I ever did was run it around the yard and it would break.. Enjoy yours their tons of fun..
