Not gonna make it this weekend. The heat index is gonna be 105-110 degrees? The drivers better be wearing their cool suits!

sunshine, on my shoulder makes me happy!!,, sunshine on the drivers stand makes me melt,, sunshine always makes me hot!
I say we line the whole oval with plastic, fill it with water and go swimming! Or have boat races!

Ron, you better put an umbrella in your race booth, it's gonna be raining sweat down in there!

So, what happened? I left at like 11:45, and there were only a few there and they were all practicing. Just can't stand heat like this.

I do my part for the economy. Haven't had anything in the shop since about 1985. My wife had a Monte Carlo then... computer went out, tranny went out with only 42,000 miles.. Worst car we ever owned!

Glad to hear the minis are back. I have a m05 and a m06, my brother has a m05. I was worried the mini class was dead. I am moving back to nc in 2 weeks and we are really looking forward to running them on a track. I just have a few questions.
What battery are you running?
I can use the m06 with the Honda body?

I would also like to know the details on the legends class.
What battery, esc, motor?
Race on oval or touring track?

Thanks!

The Mini class runs per the TCS rules. Tamiya has the rules posted on their website.
As for the legends, We're running SMC red single cell Li-po's, Tamiya silver can Johnson motors, and you can run bearings in them. You can change the steering linkags to turnbuckles if you want. the gearing is limited to a 35 pinion, and an 81 spur.
When enough mini's come out to race, they've benn running on the road course and the legends have been on the oval.

What is the popular battery for the minis?
People running lipo or nimh, 3000 or 3300 should have plenty of run time right?

Most of us run a lipo pack. Mine is a 4000mah that has the rounded edges.. I usually only use about 600-800mAh per 5 minute run.. so I would think that a 3300mAh would be good...

Most everyone has a Li-po pack in the minis as they have just a little more power in them. But they do have to have the rounded edges as in the TCS rules there is no grinding of the chassis allowed.
If you'd like one, I have one that only needs a receiver and a body. All other electronics are there, with full bearings. It's a M05 and pretty new still. 75.00

Where is the best place to get lipos with the rounded edges? All of mine are square.
