It was good to meet you Slakr. I must say that you are a competitive driver. I also learned some things about my driving this weekend. Knowing it is one thing, putting it to use is another.

It was good to meet you too "DB". The great thing about VTA is first or last everyone always seems to have fun and you can usually hear the drivers laughing on the stand. It is good to see that in our hobby. Your VTA car looked very good Saturday, maybe Bob, Tasha and I will have something more for you next time.

As for the 21.5/2400 class... my car wasn't broke, but I was much slower in the main than the rest and I felt it best to pull off and not get in the way of all the fast guys.

Dang, Tim, that didn't stop me from staying out there, hahahahaha I spent yesterday tinkering and found some things that weren't right on my pan so maybe next time I can get thru the corners a little faster.

I think I might make some of those 007 like wheel spikes to slow Don down a little. hahahahah

Laterz,
Bob

Hey Don (DBWalker), we talked a little about F1 cars Saturday... you should bring yours to Rosewood, I would like to see it.

I am thinking of getting this one (due out this month) http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=84056

Tamiya already has this one available http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXVPZ1&P=7

F1 cars are cool IMO

the F-201 was a much easier car to drive due to the 4wd. It was a lot less of a handful to run, the rear wheel drive seems to want to swap ends so easy. (I've had both kinds) But, it would be nice to see a class of them going around the Wood again.
Vista still sucks and waiting 2 hours to play WOW at night sucks even more!!

Thanks everyone for coming out to have fun with us. Special thanks to the guys from out of town, (VA). Congrats to all the winners and hope everyone can come back. Good luck to the guys going to the Oval Masters, the rest we will see saturday. Like the captain said in TOP GUN, "make us proud". Results are in from saturday.

Glenn,

The new track changes were great this weekend, thanks a lot for getting that done.

I wanted to see if its possible to get a starting grid laid down so cars are positioned better, had a little problem with the start on the 2400 class this weekend.

Also noticed the piping at the turns came apart a couple of times and one way to remedy that is by screwing the pipe fittings together with self tapping screws. This will keep them together and still give the ability to change.

Thanks again, had fun this weekend.

Bill

good thing about them popping apart though, it's sorta like a "safer barrier" as it takes some of the hit out of the wreck. Imagine how many of them cars would've broke if it was screwed tight. Quite a few of them pulled away.

As for a grid, there have been some that wouldn't like them as when the track is set up for touring again, the little marks would be a distraction. These are the same type people that can't run in a parking lot becase of the lines. Me, I say put 'em down! On the FRONT straightaway as that's where they should start so in the mains you don't have that 1.5-2 second first lap stuff. But, that's just me,,,,,

From what it looks like to me touring will be out side anyway. And on the issue with the pipes, I would rather have them a bit rigid and not have pieces out in the groove. If there's a problem with cars breaking when they hit them then put some foam around them, but I doubt that would be needed or the wall would have already been a problem.

You guys should be on Comedy Central.

I will bring the F201 next time at the Wood. It is nothing but the chassis and body at the moment. Those things are a blast with a 19turn and foam tires.

(Must use total concentration. "The wall is my friend. The wall is my friend".)

I don't know if I can make it this Saturday. My Mom is having surgery tomorrow and I don't know when they will release her to go home.

Glenn, will Rosewood be running on 11/29? That is the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

aw why bother.

Hey Don, I got an Alliance night elf rogue now. Just trying somthing different. Gotta get my hunter leved up though.

Here's something for every one,, commercial says there's 11 million people playing this WOW game now. At about 15 bucks a head a MONTH, go figure how much that is a year. Good gravy, I wish I could do programming!

14.95 a month times 11 million times 12 equals 1,973,400,000.00 Think they could afford to get more of the bugs out??

Anybody find out if Rosewood is going to be running the weekend after thanksgiving? I'm trying to plan out my oval schedule for the rest of 2008 and was wanting to get a group to come down that weekend.
