charger question??!!??

whats the BEST battery charger to get? i will be charging Lipos and regular nihm packs. i am using the deans connectors.

i am looking at the lrp pulsar 3. i use lrp motors & speed controls so i am kind of leaning towards the lrp pulsar 3 but would like to hear about them and other good chargers.

please i need one ASAP.

IMO I have had great success with the Hyperion line of Chargers...Shown here
If I was to go buy a new charger I would not want to limit myself to only charging a max of 3S lipo (LRP Pulsar 3).. The eos0606i will do up to 6S and is very versatile..It is a AC/DC charger and if you join Maxamps websight you get a discount.
The Hyperion is the same price as the LRP and it has more Potential (growth) than the LRP. I think if you join the websight (free) you get a discount of 10 or 15% instantly. The 0606i has a built in balancer for lipo and will charge everything from a Micro-T battery to a 6S lipo.
Thats my 2 cents!!!

ok, i do like it that it has a direct wall plug. and i don't need to carry around a separate power supply.

and whats the difference between charging only a 3s lipo compared to a 6s lipo? and will the lrp not charge anything for a lipo to a micro-t?

Yes the Lrp will charge the small stuff also.
The hyperion is fully programmable...
you are just limited by the lrp only charging 2S and 3S lipo packs
2s = 7.4 volts
3s = 11.1 volts
4s = 14.8 volts
5s = 18.5 volts
6s = 22.2 volts

not as common as 2S or 3S, but it all depends on you and your setup...

Mostly just have to list the max voltage you need (cell count) and how big the packs are in capacity vs charge speed in order to make a recommendation and not spend more money than you need to.

The Ice is a popular (great deal) charger for doing less than 12 nickel cells.

Have both the Ice and a 0606I hyperion. Both are dc and need separate power supply. Hyperion makes an ac/dc charge as well. When I started convertimng nitros to run electric I needed to charge a123s up to 6S, that's why I got the hyperion. Ice was plenty up until then.
