I cant wait to upgrade this truck. I have a stampede that is far far from stock and i hope to get this truck to the same level in a couple months.

Is it a good idea to put a brushless system on the Slash? or just keep it stock will be fine?

But wont you need a lot of upgrade part for replacement? I heard people change slash into brushless that the stock part cannot handle the speed...

Is it better to upgrade slash into brushless, or just stay at stock that will be enough?

Got mine for Christmas but still haven't taken it out yet to see what it can do. Have to make some time to add deans connectors to it. Already added RPM front and rear arms.

I can't wait to pick mine up tomorrow. I ordered it on line from the guy that runs the local track. Got it for $189.95 at www.dirtcheaprc.com. He is a great guy and a racer. Here are some pics of the body I painted before I even got the truck...

Should at least open some eyes.

For you guys running lipo's, how long are your run time's averaging (stock esc/motor)?
I'm looking to get a 5000 lipo and a couple 3200's.

I put a thread in the body and paint section so it's visible there, too.
Crazy ideas from ProLine!

Anyone have any intel whether Traxxas is going to come out with a brushless version of the Slash, presumably the VXL? i'm holding off on getting a slash cause i'm waiting for brushless version. those of you who have already added the VXL system, is it too much power? i've seen the Slash flip on command due to too much power, seems the wheelie bar would come in handy.

I was going to get the lipo battery for my Slash VXL, but after i run it with 7.2V battery, for me its pretty good, powerful but easy to handle. It will wheelie with enough grip. I believe 8.4V will be more fun, 11.1V will be too much for sure.
