Trouble starting...
I was recently given my first Nitro-car and it has not been a pleasurable experience. The car is a D&A Racing Team off road nitro RC-car. It included such simplistic and incomplete instructions that they were basically a waste of paper. I adjusted the steering servos, added fuel, pulled the cord about 40 times and got it running. After about 5 minutes of runnin it clipped the stairs with the front tire, which knocked the wheel out of position. I covered the exhaust to kill the engine and fixed the tire. Since it has not started at all. I guess I really killed the engine.
At this point, when I pull on the cord, it is very hard to pull, it "pops" out 3 times on the first pull, 2 times on the second pull, 1 time on the third and is completely frozen after that for a while. I don't know that "pop" is the right word, but it's the best descritption I can think of. It kind of feels like the piston moves once each time it "pops".
My first thought was the engine was flooded, as the crummy instructions briefly describe this condition, but it hasn't been touched in 3 days and still does the same thing today.
Any suggestions for a soon to be, former RC enthusiast?? I'd also like to know if anyone has experience with a D&A Racing Tema car and what their thoughts are. I haven't found much info on the net.
Thanks in advance.

if it truly is flooded than the pullcord will be alot harder if not impossible to pull just take the glow plug out put a rag over the head and pull the cord a few times put the plug back in and try to start it if thats the problem then it should fire almost right away if not then its something more

Remove glow plug and crank the engine several times to unflood(excess Fuel). Also check your igniter battery, alkaline batteries must be low. replace the battery or recharge the igniter.

In my haste and impatience, I didn't read before posting and there appears to be a similar thread already posted, but...
The limited instructions provided did say something about relieving a flooded engine and I've tried to pull the cord without the glow plug in and I get the same results. First pull is difficult to say the least, then it jumps out a little, then a little more, and a little more(3 times total), the second pull yields twice and the third once, then it's completely locked again. I'm going to try turning it upside down and pulling the chord, I'm also going to empty the fuel tank and try again, but I have little hope this will work. The air bubbles in the fuel line do not seem to move at all while pulling the cord right now.
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll let you know how it works out.

if its still hard to pull when the glow plug is out then its definetly not flooded if you feel comfortable taking the engine apart then check the conrod to see if the bushings are bad and you should also check the crank bearings to see if they operate smoothly if your not comfortable then you should take it to your local LHS and have them check it out for you
hope this helps

Good news and bad news... The suggestions worked great. I pulled the fuel lines off, emptied the fuel tank, turned the vehicle upside down and pulled the cord a bunch of times. It gradually got easier to pull and by the 30th time almost felt like it was trying to start. I reconnected the fuel lines, added fuel, and the glow plug ignitor and within 3 or 4 pulls it was running.
The bad news is, the pull cord is extremely close to the throttle servo and while pulling, the plastic piece the throttle servo connects to on the side of the engine cracked and the car ran at full throttle uncontrollably.
Looks like I'm out of commission until I get my hands on the replacement part.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions and help.
