The purple is way darker than the pics make it seem. I cant seem to find the rite setting on my camera to make it look rite.
Its more like the word purple.

Thanks,
This is the second body I was given free artistic rein.
Was a pain to figure out what would flow good on a Vette.

Looks very good , the only thing I would have done different is make the edges in the tear more jagged and peeled back a little more .

That looks killer!!!!
try taken a picture with the flash off with a room with decent lighting, that might help but i am sure the purple is hard to capture its true colors, cameras are funny like that!
I am sure who ever who painted it for, they will be pleased!!
ok i give.....it was for me and my hpi e10 car!,hehehehe

The first batch of pics is with no flash and brightly lit room with daylight and lights on it the room, i took it outside in direct daylight and it looked even lighter I dont know it just doesnt want its true colors to show I guess.
No problem Dave was a pleasure painting it for you.

My only constructive suggestions would be:
1. tint the windows. The real vette has darker glass on the back hatch that makes it less "open feeling" if that makes sense.
2. The rip transition is too abrupt and straight edged. It needs more flow, along the lines of the car...angled back and longer, more gradual.
3. If the checkering on the hood graphics continued all the way to thr small ends, it would look more 3D'ish.
Execution looks right-on, and I dig the mattallic flake under the purple.
Grillwork is perfect. (I hate doing grills and headlights lol).
And one question in general....what is "a lighter shade of black"? lol

LOL I actually was going to tint the windows.
Thanks for the other sugestions, I'm still just learning some of these methods, so the constructive comments are welcome
Iwas a little confused on the lighter black thing too.

The craftmanship is excellent. The colors work very well together. I would only change one thing. Thr rips on the side are ridged and completely vertical, perfectly cutting the car in half. The corvette has sleek flowing lines, your design on the hood is perfect because it flows as well. For the rip I would have started it by the door knob and going diagonal downward toward the front wheelwell. Just that small angle change to seperate the purple from the black would give the car a more balanced look.

Most of the stuff you guys tell me is spot on info thanks.
Funny thing is a lot of it came to me way too late lol
Like I wish I had remembered I wanted to mask off the headlight covers and just tint them lol
remembered just as I was putting on the second coat of the purple DUH Smacks head hahahaahahaha
