Starter Box

Can you use a starter box with a Losi 8ight T RTR ? It seems like the flywheel is mounted to high for the rubber wheel from the starter box to engage. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong.

The flywheel is indeed quite high on the 8ight and some starter boxes won't work with it, but generally you should be able to get most to work with it.

Losi also sell a starter box for the 8ight but try and make yours work first. Some tips are to remove any of the positioning pegs and make sure you get contact with the flywheel before putting the pegs in.

The RTR uses taller engine mounts to clear the spinstart backplate. You'll need to replace the spinstart backplate with the Sportwerks backplate and get the kit engine mounts or any aftermarket engine mount like the KingHeadz mount.
